thats the main reson why it exists...connection between tampines/ pasir ris area and yishun...and competetion wif 969? n pta got some rule that must go 2 enemy territory the fastest way possible?
Tampines - Pasir Ris is already well connected.
Perhaps the only good use of this Svc is for Pasir Ris - Yishun
I boarded this bus from Tamp for the purpose of going to Yishun. I must be the only one to have done so. No worries as I had a lot of time and already knew that it wud take a longer time than 969. But was surprised it took 30 mins even before entering the expressway torwards Yishun.
I just modified it a little where in this case the connection between Pasir Ris - Tamp remains, but an additional link to Marine Parade is made. The total time taken would be of no difference I guess. Perhaps quite a bit more time taken for Pasir Ris -Yishun.
Rationale of boarding this bus (Current):
At Tamp - To go to Pasir Ris
Pasir RIs - Go to Yishun
and vice versa
Rationale of boarding this bus (With proposed amendment):
At Pasir Ris - To go to Tamp
At Tamp - To go to Marine Parade or To go to Yishun with a slightly longer trip. Alternative to 969 if a 15 mins of your time wouldn't matter or you think you just missed 969 and don't wish to wait for that. or To go to Pasir Ris in the opp direction.
At Marine Parade - To go to Yishun/ Go to Tamp on the opp direction, Both ways would be faster than the current situation
At Yishun - Marine Parade/Tamp alternative to 969 with same reasons above
For Pasir Ris - Yishun travel, one can always get down at Tamp and make a transfer for a faster journey or if time is not an issue and you're joyriding this route would take approx 50 mins (20 min longer than usual)

St Micheal Ter to Marine Parade Rd (loop)
I was exploring some ways of using the CTE but found that the CTE route is closely duplicated by NEL and some CCL stations
Would LTA/PTC allow if SMRT wanted to use the CTE for a route via Marina Bay - Outram - CTE to Yishun and Woodlands ?
while its competitor has taken care of the CTE route by NEL.
Is anyone interested to see my route anyway?

excuse me, why i regulary see SMRT buses off-service though can use CTE, and anyway, CTE have no terriorial differences, i can use CTE>>PIE>> SMRT areas also can
plus CTE tunnels( as well as KPE) ones are with 4.5 m height limit, well above the ADD/DD height limit....
