ALPS has its own pass office at Alps Ave near the Ferry Terminal. I do not advice taking a public bus to Airline Rd cos after you change pass there its a long walk to Alps Ave office buildings. Woodlands Transport is recommended.
Hey guys,
Thats alot of replies from you guys, thank u so much!
Is it better to take 168 from Woodlands than 969 if I want to sleep on my way to Tampines? Is it lesser ppl for 168? Also any idea is there any direct bus to Tanah Merah Stn since there will be a shuttle bus service in the morning.
Oh and the walking towards ALPS ave, I did check out the transitlink journey planner when I was trying to check out the location before my interview...I thought I could walk over to Alps when i dropped down at airline road..coz it seen near like 403m away only...but somehow when i take bus 9 to there...then i was forced to alight when the police officer boarded and asked for my pass. Then i just alight...then he asked me go opposite bus stop to wait for "Woodlands Transport" to enter ALPS.
I will check out with my colleage when I start work and see will there be any extra charges for cab. Hopefully there will be some premium bus service available at my area then it will be alot convenient! =D
Thanks alot!
Sembawang you take train or buses to Pasir Ris,Then take 89 until the checkpoint then wait at the opp bus stop for Woodland Transport ALPS shuttle(Timings is there at the plate).Fare is 60cents unless you can produce pass.

168 is better cos u are boarding from the interchange. Guaranteed a seat. 969 from CHong Pang you need to KIV any seat of which the commuter alights at Yishun central.
There's a direct bus from Tampines to Tanah merah (31 or 31A) but that would take too long.. train is much faster.
Why is everyone talking abt 969 but forgot abt sv 39 from Yishun to Pasir Ris or Loyang Ave and transfer to either 9, 19 or 89?
As a Sembawang resident myself, my preferred way to Changi Village / Nicoll Drive is:
Sembawang MRT > Yishun MRT > Sv 39 to Pasir Ris / Loyang > Transfer 9/19/89. Note that you can only transfer to 89 in Pasir Ris only.
