  UDs were supposed 2 be deregistered at the end of last yr, but still pending till now. Dunno y. If whole thing of deregistration delays, i tink the deregistration if ELBO would oso be delayed 2 nxt year too.

  MAybe 2 to 3 days later, can be seen on the road liao after being assigned at KJDEP/AMDEP (Same old stories again) or 'stay' at WLDEP if good.

  I dun think is case of overcrowding in WLDEP, if so why is WLDEP taking in 0405s from the other 2 depots rather than taking in new OCs?

  Supposingly too, tat's wat I heard. In fact the UDs lifespan ends officially around 1st quarter of next year. Just tat SMRT lay up the UDs early, perhaps the remaining UDs will continue to run till the lifespan ends. ELBO still got a few more years to run untill 2013 though.

  Our Customer Service Initiatives

  We are installing a Passenger Information System (PIS) on all our buses. The system provides information on the next stop. We are purchasing wheel-chair accessible buses equipped with Euro IV engine. These buses will be step-less and have a low-floor this facilitating boarding and alighting for the elderly and mothers with young children.

  But the conditons of ELBOs not veri good in 1st place, so had some of 'em lay-up alr & awaiting 4 deregistration mostly next year.

  The chassis seems quite ok. Its the bodywork. Also, heard EABO turned into a Military supplies company le and not making bus bodyworks anymore.
