Oh is it? I started with compact cameras either. You should have seen my photos before don't you? Sanyo cameras are good, depending on how you use it. If you are not familiar with your camera, you will never take an "average" photos.So how good are S5is? Can't even take a sunlight shots of k230s with maximum F value at 8. You called that good?

Then you are wrong liao lo... Like what many people said down here, ultimately it's the skills that counts.. I may agree on you for your night shots because I have tested your Xacti before, but your day shots seems ok lehz...

If you said S5is is good, it has the same specs as many canon compact cameras. What make it semi-pro camera is the "macro" functions that it has. It has no difference with other canon compact cameras which can use manual mode. Unless you telling me that you using "Macro" for taking photos of buses.For your info, know more about canon digital cameras before you start saying S5is is good. This is not a matter of me assuming or not.

Vic. Nt sure if u noticed or nt. ALMOST ALL photos taken using Sanyo Xacti S6 are static shots. (I.E. Bus not moving). Sanyo Xacti S6 Sanyo Xacti does not allow the user to set anything using manual execpt White balance, exposure and ISO. The rest will be Full Auto. (No shuttle speed setting... so when the bus chiongs down in bright daylight....
) Not sure about the Sanyo Xacti E6.
Also tried using Panosonic Lumix LZ5, Nikkon P50/60/80, Canon Pwrsht S5, Canon EOS 450D/500D. All beat the Sanyo Xacti S6 hands down in my opinion. -

Even if you don't have a better camera, you should FULLY utlise whatever functions that your camera has despite it being restricted. At least you tried your best exploring your camera, be it handphone or digital.

Did I say S5 is good? I just said the shots taken by it is better than the Sanyo Xacti S6.
