Sv 90, 246?
246's AM peak freq super cmi.. 90 SBS might reason cos it's single diretion demand during peak hrs
As for 196, it's time to question why 608 was allowed to be withdrawn
SMRT's 190's demand is unevenly distributed among its buses ba... Sometimes you can get a seat on the bus, sometimes the bus just zoom past your bus stop and happy waiting for the next bus...

Why not having 95% of bendies perm during the weekdays also? Just like weekend, they use 184 bendies.
And I don't think 184 will use bendies during weekday also unless Ngee Ann Poly School Day starts. Maybe keep 4 to 5 bendies & the rests are rigids on 184.
But it'll be up to SMRT monitor and decide the redeployments on 190.

190 starts trip from that bus stop (not sure the frequency for this downroute) for their 1st (and maybe 2nd also) bus, and also around 7am ++ whereby some 190 buses together with the crossover for 307 and 180 will start doing downroute from there on weekdays towards New Bridge Rd. Not sure for weekends because I never observe for that..IIRC, the 1st bus for 190 from there should be 5:45am (as compared to the 1st bus from CCK Int which is 5:50am).
As for your 960 one, late morning I saw it once or twice but confirm the 1st bus will start downroute there too... 960's 1st bus from there is 5:35am iirc...
I see. =)

Quite hard to say sometimes. SIM and NUS students still having school during this period.
184's regular riders
30% - Public
40% - Ngee Ann Students
30% - SIM / NUS Students
184 is usually full with standees on days where both schools are not having holidays, but the demand is still there with a few standees during Ngee Ann school holidays.

Service 184 uses bendies everyday, except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Do remember 184 doesn't only serve as "school bus", but also connecting bus service from Clementi / Sunset Way / Bukit Timah to Bukit Panjang
And for your info, the school crowds for 184 will end beyond 10pm due to part time night courses in SIM.

And NP, too...

To Junyang700: Minus out NP students coz holiday nvr end now, till end of Apr.
As u had tabulated earlier on, 40% of all 184 passengers are from NP.
Lets say: There are an average ppl of 1.8 million riders.
When NP School days:
Public: 540, 000
NP: 720,000
SIM/NUS: 540, 000
When having NP school holidays (till end april), lets say there'll be 5% of NP students still here for their IGs or activities, or else most of students won't come for school:
Public: 540, 000
NP: 90,000
SIM/NUS: 540,000
Total: 1.17 million
As for SIM ppl, there are also alternative buses to take for to Clementi: 52, 154
From Clementi/ Sunset Way to Bukit panjang:
52, 154 and change 75 to Bukit Panjang. There got rebate if interchange wit another bus.
Estimated fares:
184: From clementi / Sunset Way to Bukit Panjang (via NP):
$1.13
52 or 154, change 75: '' ''
64 cents + ($1.03 - 25 cents rebate) = $1.42
When having NP school holidays, there'll be reduction of 35% & SMRT, SBST provide alternatives to take other than 184.
To conclude, when having their holidays, 184 can deploy some of rigids, not more, but adequate, whereas the bendies will do 190 as usual to supplement people.
When school starts, 184 bendies will return & do its own service.
And for Service 925:
In order not in the blacklist, SMRT should also let 67 bendy to do x-over to 67/ 925 rather than sticking on rigids.

Your justification makes no sense unless you have official figures to back you up. From your last two posts I suggest that you really go and BOARD these services before posting your idealistic justifications here. Please.

And ur fares seems to be from 2007 or 2008. minimum 4 stages fare is already 69cents now, rebate is 50cents.

hanor
I still remember 1990s, so many DDs around in S'pore

bendies will never hit 95% cos ppl refuses to move in to e arti carriage to stand
not to say at e main carriage near e joining point

184 uses full bendy fleet on weekdays except tat SD crossover during AM peak
dun forget during PM peak, ppl going for nite classes at UniSIM or NP or those ppl going for RT at Maju Camp
Sv 28 tio blacklisted.. though it got downgraded by 1 ADD slot becoming ASD? LOL

- ALL S93 buses does full day
- Main reason BBDEP put DM3500 on 160/170 because of capacity larger than striders
- WLDEP knows how to maintain Lance
Sorry for inconvenience,
But WLDEP got one Dennis Lance 211 b4 the Dennis Lance 245 were x-fered to WLDEP 852.

Last time I took 184 was on late Sep or Oct 2008 (can't really rmb). It was at night (around 7 to 8pm like that) when I was going home from NP to watch my RP's friend floorball POLITE match. The bus I took was: TIB860S. There was more seats inside the bus than people standing.

Sometimes I wonder if SBST should consider adding downroutes from the city to improve the frequency there to maybe 5 mins during peak hours as well as 5 mins freq of 196/196A combine in morning peak. You know what I mean, "190 standard during morning/evening peak".
If SMRT can do so many downroute arrangements for Service 190, I wonder why can't SBST try their level best to introduce such arrangements to Service 196.

Say so easy... the planning and revamp of schedules take alot of effort and time.

You do not have to emphasize that POLITE word.
I'm just reminding you that your one-off ride for that POLITE match has little indication of that the real loading of the service. I have been utilising 184 daily for 6 years so to me your little justification is way off.
The high loading timings for 184 are:
8am to 9am
1pm to 3pm
5pm to 7pm
9pm to 10pm
So you see, your 7-8pm ride falls between the high loading timings so of course the bus is empty.

Okay, I understand.
But 1pm to 3pm on weekdays or weekends?
If weekdays, for lunch PEAK?
If weekends, for shopping?
