No its nt like that.Still the majority of the fleet is kubs what.So If more than 50% of the fleet is WAB buses in which the fleets of the above mentioned svcs have majority/full kub perms, then the svc can be a WAB svc.Correct me if i am wrong.

Haha agn.Wonder if hopefully SBST wld look into this article and make somemore improvements to the kubs or nt.

Not only that, the route must be tested to see whether is there any PIW demand for the service which is to be an WAB service and also whether the bus-stop is majority PIW friendly.

A WAB service doesn't mean that 100% of the fleet must be either Scania K230UBs or Volvo B9TLs (same for Merc OC500LEs in SMRT's WAB fleet). But anyway if u refer to sgwiki, u will notice that there's only a very small percentage of Volvo MK3s in the above mentioned fleets.

I think SMRT MB OC500LE buses generally perform better than SBST Scania KUB. As for the writer's complain that the space above the front tyres taking up precious space, that's the characteristic of WAB bus as it got to be zero step and the engine moved to the rear. But not all Scania KUB are jerky and vibrate alot. For example, I got a wonderful ride on SBS8178U on svc 130 today! I think if Scania is sincere in maintaining long-term relationshop with SBST and regaining public confidence in their products, they got to try to improve or upgrade these new buses for SBST. Marketing is very important in today's business, not just sales! Potential customers are also watching!

they've got to tune it the euro-v way. make it less jerky, especially when upshifting.

How do u test if there is any PIW demand on a particular route ?
