can lor
75 can become 995. 169 shld become 959.
It will be very confusing...
Confusion and chaos will ensue for the commuters. May like that time SMRT renumber the BB feeder services except on a larger scale ^^
And SMRT have to reprogram all their EDS, although they'll have plenty of time.
If it ain't broken why fix it?
some services have been ard since the 80/90s. want to renumber for what.......
like asking to renumber 21 to 121.
For fark did you want to renumber the bus services? It will only cause confusion for passengers.
my suggestion:
- svc 300 > svc 930
- svc 302 > svc 932
- svc 307 > svc 937
- svc 307E > svc 937E
- svc 980 > svc 880
- svc 981 > svc 881
- svc 167 > svc 887
- svc 859 > svc 889

The numbers look very weird for 980,981,167 and 859. Like some Premium route number that goes 581, 582, 583
Renumbering will be done with minimal confusion to commuters, usually by implementing route changes and amendments at one go.

Brings people to various Ge-Tais (æŒå°) in Singapore? ![]()
Hi, didnt expect so much reply!
Yes, its done in stages, like how SBS is doin it
tibs to sbs
214E - 820 - 378 - 103
214W - 821 - 379 - 103W - 103M
so much changes for a minor route!
SBS very 1st 3 sengkang routes
59 - 866(TIBS ten SBS) - 86
80 + 84 - 864
865 - 85
till now SMRT still retain the no system for some areas, like yishun( which use the 85x since 1980s) woodlands convert to 96x from 95x(shared by marsiling n woodlands)
I wonder y tibs change 951 - 180 in the past =X... doesnt make sense
some more crazy changes over for bt batok, since tibs did not intro any new svc since taking over in 2000.
61 - 871
77 - 877
106 - 876
173 - 873
189 - 879
How does it sound?
One more info.. interesting to find out all 17x ply bt timah area in the past by both tibs/sbs
170, 171, 172, 173, 174, 175, 176, 177, 178, not sure abt ex 179 (bef SBS launch 179 in CCK)
similarity, all 85x serves yishun, ez to b recognize by every1.
If SMRT really rationalise their bus no 1 day, I find tat it will become an offically SMRT svc, or else the old exisiting no will remind me that it was transfer from SBS.

Don't think SMRT will bother to do that any longer, first of all, LTA will take over the central planning, so they will only have the right to operate the bus services, no right to rename it :)
and TIBS themselves made their system very confusing, 8xx and 9xx should be dedicated to two kinds of buses, like feeder and trunk, rather than buses from (yishun, sembawang) and (woodland, bp, cck, bb), don't know what they were thinking
I agree SMRT didnt not sort out the no into feeder n trunk svc. I oso don like toe mess up.
will b gd if all feeder / townlink/ intra town merger to form trunk svc
Some svc had already been rationalized
220 + 290 = 38
226 + 385 = 60
294 + 375 = 3
321 + 326 = 113
322 + 327 = 112
328 = 101
371 = 163M
378 = 103
379 = 103M
382 = 63
921 = 700/700A
331(Withdrawn parallel to svc 51, 78, 143)
227(Withdrawn parallel to 17)
274(Withdrawn parallel to 57)
Special case
275(parallel to 131, wonder y didnt withdraw)
228(parallel to 66, wonder y didnt withdraw, only fare stage different)

275 is an exact duplicate of 131. MP wants to keep svc despite poor loadings. less than 20 people per trip. well it gives alternatives to passengers.
228 has the ring around bedok reservoir. it gives alternatives to passengers.

i support the change from 189 -> 989 since 989 is vacant now
i do not support the change from 190 -> 989 but better to 990 instead
