Zoo : MRT + Bus Options on a Sunday

  Folks

  A friend's traveling through Singapore and wants to visit the Zoo. Thanks to earlier posts, we've narrowed down to the following options.

  a. Changi MRT - AMK MRT - (138) Zoo (138) - AMK MRT - Changi MRT

  b. Changi MRT- Choa Chu Kang MRT - (927) Zoo (927)- Choa Chu Kang MRT - Changi MRT

  c. Changi MRT- Woodlands MRT - (926) Zoo (926) - Woodlands MRT - Changi MRT

  Couple of questions.

  1. Do the buses listed above (138, 926, 927) run on Sundays?

  2. How long does 926 take from Woodlands - Zoo - Woodlands?

  3. How long does 927 take from Woodlands - Zoo - Woodlands?

  hi there glad to see you back

  Yes all three services run on sundays and public holidays.

  926 trip would take about 35-40min in total. That would amount to 15-20min one-way.

  927 trip takes 20-25min to get from Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange to the zoo.

  My advice for you is to take 926, 2nd choice being 138.

  Must take train? 858 > 171 > 138 might be faster.

  i agree with XiaoTaro, 858>171>138 should be the fastest. You can also try 858>MRT to AMK > 138

  Would recommend:

  858 ->Khatib Stn
  Khatib Stn -> MRT/858(continue without stopping) -> Woodlands MRT/Int
  Woodlands Int -> 926 -> Zoo

  Seriously, taking 858 to woodlands is a better opition.

  926 is the odd one out coz it only operates on Sundays/PH. Other svcs serve the route everyday.

  Take 858 from Changi Airport
  Transfer 171 along Yishun Avenue 2 (1st stop) Place also known as Chong Pang)
  Transfer 138 along Mandai Road (1st stop)
  
  Should take you around:
  1 hr 15 - 1 hr 30 mins (with all the transfers)
  
  Your Option C should be the fastest if you were to consider.
  Should take you around:
  1 hr 45 mins - 2 hrs 00 mins (with all the transfers)
  (Note: 926 only operates on Sundays & Public Holidays)
  
  (1) All 3 bus services run on Sundays & Public Holidays
  (2) 926 takes 15 minutes from Woodlands Int (add in 30 minutes waiting time)
  (3) 927 takes 20 minutes from Choa Chu Kang Int (add in 20 minutes waiting time)

  that method quite fast, basically express express den one stop den express express again to woodlands 

  unlike 858 turn one full circle

  Am thinking - SMRT buses + SBS buses one way and cab coming back.
