Example Serangoon Garden, 360degree you will be able to get nice sunlight. It just depends on whether you want to use it as a complimentary to your photos or not.
That's out of context.And it depends on individuals. If they don't consider it wasted I don't see why I should be complaining.
What merely happens is that the subject becomes under-exposed, or over-exposed. And it need not be sunlight to "ruin" a picture.
And there are times you intentionally under-expose the subject to get a better view of the background, that you must surely know.
I'm not arguing for the sake of doing so here. What I'm saying is that there's a thin line between "good" and "bad" pictures and that line varies according to individuals and their intentions.

I don't know why you guys like to nit-pick at him. You say you try to teach him fail, unless you taught him by PM, then I don't know how you did it. I am someone who doesn't know how to use sunlight at all in my pics, and I still don't know how. Giving examples doesn't help if you don't know the fundamentals or the basics. Stop giving bad comments and stop making fun of him. What kind of culture is this? Same went for TTS, why continue to make fun of him?Why are you guys doing this? Seriously, EVERYONE needs to REFLECT. Not only them, but the 'seniors' as well. I have seen better community effort for the Australians and the Hong Kongers. I don't want a flame war occurring every week. Keep the case closed.

Seriously, EVERYONE needs to REFLECT. Not only them, but the 'seniors' as well. I have seen better community effort for the Australians and the Hong Kongers. I don't want a flame war occurring every week. Keep the case closed.

It is damn irritating to see the same few people criticising about DAF-ish pics. Scold and scold. And it is an eyesore to see a Pri4 kid scolding a secondary school student. Where did the child learn his manners from?
What to do? People like to use handphone take pics, must we force him to buy a solid digital camera?
IMO, sunlights or good lightings beautifies a pic. It is up to you to try or not. Sick of seeing arrogant people who don't accept a suggestion and flames back (provided the person who suggest isn't sarcastic).
My 2 cents worth.

and i believe bus555 knows his phone's weakness even without such technicalities. at the very least, can't he work around it?

3120 classic lah and TIb537B, i know u hate me (nt juz becoz of my bus shot but other things also)it seens when someone posted a handphone pic like the one above, the merz on 145 and 851, u never complain but me, haizz...

Who's to judge who's senior and who's junior? What's the criteria? Are they up to it? Are they fit to lead? Are they really teaching? Are they doing their job? And so... what have you seniors done?
I think many of the "seniors" in this forum have to wake up their ideas. You are letting your egos get the better of you.
Advices are given but whether to follow is up to individual. What do you gain by forcing the fella to do what you do? So you people can claim credit if whoever is forced to follow your way get the praise? Something for you to boast about? Egomanics. What do you gain from "shooting" other people aimlessly without actual proofs? Yes, I am specifically pointing at people who hardly commute with SMRT Buses but jump to conclusions
If you are really taking the role of a "senior" jump out from the shadow of your keyboards, lead those you loved to group as the "juniors" in person.
I believe most of these "seniors" know who I am. If you have any issues with what I posted you can come straight to me. If you "seniors" want to play the senior-junior games, I think I'll be probably be more "senior" than you people.
Someone here mentioned about growing up. People need time and space to grow and learn, however, desperately needed indeed for all parties.
