Yea I also read in one of the threads here that 196 made a wrong turn into the stadium and became an open top bus. But that I guess was in the (late) 90's -

Why not? Stadium Direct are using SD and / or DD buses. Service 16 is the only service in the stadium area that cannot use DDs due to the service passing under Merdeka bridge with a 3.3m restriction. -
More like the stomper wanted 16 to come in DD's :?

What is bus lane for if bus drivers drive out of it?If a car was seen cruising down the bus lane, the driver will get fine, but what happens if bus drivers drive out of the bus lane? The drivers will not get fined.
What then, are bus lanes for, questions STOMPer Steven, who spotted these two double-deck buses racing down two 'car' lanes, instead of using their 'exclusive' bus lane.

Dont say buses block his way to hell.
By the way, buses should have the right of way since it's a PUBLIC TRANSPORT and it carries MORE PEOPLE compared to CARS. Only emergency vehicles have more priority than buses. The transport minister said before that buses shd be given right of way since more pple are travelling in it, therefore benefitting more Singaporeans. Saying things like buses block their way is just selfish comment.
The stomper needs to go back to driving school and retake his BTT

It is NOT compulsory for the buses to use the bus lanes. What if they need to overtake or they are actually off service buses? Nuff' said. Someone go post and tell the STOMPER to see this post.
