Because of that, 86 had to become full AMDEP.
86 became full AM together wif serangoon / eunos depot swop in 2004.
159 was partial AM/HG when extended to sengkang from amk in 2001, but became full AM when 163 extend to sengkang which became full HG. The mass introduction of new sbst svcs in 2005 sent 159 back to full HG.

technically if arbp is short of lots, they should just pass it on to bb, like routes like 14.

Scania-based services:
167, 178, 187 and 852
Non-scania-based services:
859, 961, 962, 966
When all UDs & ELBOS lay-up and deregistered, 569, 650 and all 961 permers would go over 178/187/852.
So from now, ex-KJ and AM SP Merczs won't go over 178, 187 and 852, but non-Scania based services.
Correct me if any, thanks.
So, no fixed bus on 173/963 x-over (Duty 173C151) yet?

It is too early to predict, seriously. You never know when the management changes their idea.

If I not wrong,
Last time 178 and 852 got most ex-KJ and AM Hispano CACs to replace CSS-based UDs. But I know it was just a temporary replacement since some of Scanias were still at KJ 75/700/970.
When all scanias came back to WLDEP in end of Feb, all KJ Scanias went over 852 to replace Merczs.
In March, TIB772M and TIB773K went over 960 to replace TIB666L and TIB667J which went over 178. TIB638T was replaced by TIB971E on 913E/960. So, 666, 667, 638 went over 178.
TIB771R (former TIB836M's slot) was 187 perm for a short while till TIB837K replaced it on end of Jan. TIB648P also became 187 perm too (Fleet add)
Because of invading of Scanias, all Merczs on 178 could not survive. TIB781L went over 966. TIB797S went SP.
In May, TIB636Z was offically out of 902/964/169 perm. Replaced by TIB462H. As it went over 178 to replace TIB1248D.
From there, the strength of Scanias on 961 became lesser & lesser as TIB642E went over 852. Sonner or later, some of Scanias would be replaced by Merczs.
By reading all these, I think you should know what I am trying to day.
Cheers =)
Conclusion from my previous statement:
The strength of Scanias on 178 and 852 become more, all kope from non-Scanias based services.
857, 960, 962, 902/964 were once got Scania perms. But at the end, they went over to 178/852.
In vice versa, the strength of Scanias on WLDEP 961 became lesser since TIB837K went over 187 and TIB642E and TIB848D went over 852.

Hopefully the bendies will beef up either 960, 963 or 969.
There seem to be regular cameos of ELBO on 167 recently.

dun worry so much about the deployment. You are not working for SMRT. No need to help them planned the deployment...

I just realised this is a case of 3 rigids replacing 3 bendies....
Hopefully there will be an improvement of frequency as previously it was 4 bendies and 2 rigids during off peak before 7pm and 3 bendies + 2 rigids during off peak after 7pm.

I forsee that all Scanias should be out from service 859 already. Recently notice some CAC Mercs are doing service 859 recently, TIB745S is one of them.
Think the Scanias from services like 171 and 966 will be replaced by Mercs sooner or later.
Will verify again.

would have expected atleast a couple of Mercedez CACs for 178, as i am sick and tired of seeing Scanias..well up to the management though..no use ranting i know

Add on that TIB482A is perm service 962 on Sundays and Public Holidays too, replacing one of the Volgren Mercs.

Well, that was expected. Service 178 all these while are always being deployed with the "secondary" models. From CAC Hinos to DAFs under KJDEP, then Scania under WLDEP. Worst was the downgrading of service 178 to ex-CSS Nissans which tok place in 2004. Now that SMRT is phasing out all the Nissan UDs, WLDEP tries to deploy all the Scanias back to service 178 whereas services like 859 and 962 have the benefit of getting the ex-AMDEP and KJDEP Mercs.
Service 852 also, KJDEP had DAFs, WLDEP had Scanias and Nissan UDs, AMDEP had Lances. Never had long term Merc fleets before regardless of which depot service 852 came under.

Service 167 is the extreme case...
AMDEP gave almost full OC fleet... WLDEP gave almost full Scania fleet..

any chances of getting a Mercz permer after this year for 178?
now is like 187 has Mercz OACs, while 178 has none.
the previous time i took 178 CACs was just a couple of weeks back, where ex-178 permer 759C was back again..
Guess i have to patiently wait though
and the most Scania fleets i've ever seen though for 178

LOL...
If I am not wrong, all the Lances are still perm reflected in service 167's roster. TIB918K is still perm service 167, saw it at YIBP standby roster. Just that AMDEP OC500LEs are practising "long term cameo" on service 167 (as well as some other AMDEP services too).
