everyone's knows abt it but it is because this is an express service and travel quite far and long. Passenger would expect to have seats throughout the journey.
then is it amdep161 bc that went over to drive the hgdep 161 must drive amdep and hgdep service?

amdep 161 to hgdep 161 BCs now drive hgdep 161 if not standby other routes from hgdep.
SBS8696R & SBS8698K
(New
BBDEP)
i thought someone said that those amdep 161 bc will go to wooodlands interchange to change shift?

At least SLBP is generous enough to deploy Euro 5 Scania K230UBs which has more seats. If a Batch 1 Scania K230UB is to be deployed instead then it is good luck...

No more AMDEP controlled for service 161. All the BCs regardless from AMDEP side in the past or not should be changing shift at Hougang interchange.
Correct me if I am wrong.

that's last time. Now since its full hgdep ALL change at Hougang.
now service 51 is the only service at Hougang Int which have leylands ![]()
does it means that now the past amdep161's bc will have to drive the other hgdep bus service and the amdep bus service?

You still don't get it.
The amdep 161 BCs, either they follow over to hgdep and continue as 161 BCs, if not they retain in amdep to do other service. There is no more 161 under amdep, this is clear enough. Once they go hgdep, they can't drive amdep routes, vice-versa.

109y, 111p, 114g and 115d too. there's a chance 116b and 117z also. 119T is on 145 today.

However, these buses (Inuclude SBS107C) still not offically lay-up as yet. So, should be awaiting lay-up.
Note: awaiting lay-up =/= awaiting deregistration (lay-up)
But, SBS112L offically lay-up.:(
By the way, SBS105H still not offically lay-up as yet, but awaiting.

they are not officially laid up in LTA records, but in AMDEP records, they alrd considered as laid up. Laid Up notices have been pasted on the bus windscreen.

Paper with words, or just a single plain white paper without any word?
I know awaiting lay-up = cannot do revenue service, but does not mean that it is offically lay-up already. Wait for LTA to record the status.
As I saw, an awaiting lay-up bus (SBS86D last time) is just pasted with plain white paper.
So, am I right to say awaiting lay-up is for LTA to approve for lay-up?

Paper with word. Printed out nicely by AMDEP... i alrd mention that they are not officially laid up in LTA records. But AMDEP alrd considered these buses as Laid Up buses. SBST/Amdep might not even apply for official laid up status for these buses....
the paper on SBS86D is not BLANK.. The paper is printed with wording "do not deployed " facing the driver seat.
To AMDEP, these buses are alrd considered as Laid Up, no matter whether they have apply to LTA to officially laid up these buses or not.

Let me clarify with you again:-
Service 161 when introduced in 2001 was dual AMDEP and HGDEP controlled. AMDEP drivers change duties either at AMDEP or Woodlands interchange, whereas HGDEP drivers will change at HGDEP or Hougang interchange.
Starting this week, made service 161 a full HGDEP control. I believe that AMDEP management beforehand had given service 161 drivers a choice of whether to cross over to HGDEP to continue on with service 161 or to stay on AMDEP to do other services. For planning purposes.
After service 161 becomes full HGDEP, all service 161 drivers regardless of whether they used to come from AMDEP side or not will change shift at Hougang side. Note that the drivers whom were used to be from AMDEP side are now under HGDEP side. There's no reason that a HGDEP driver can drive either an AMDEP bus or AMDEP controlled service anymore. Those ex-AMDEP 161 drivers whom are still under AMDEP can be doing any other AMDEP controlled services but not service 161.
actually, to my feeling about this. i feel very upset.about 161 handling to hgdep from amdep. but i will try to forget this quickly.
