Cameo is when a bus appears on a service which it is not assigned to permanently. So "cameo spotting" means we spot the buses which are not on their permanent service and post it here.

No. You got it wrong. Buses to have an assigned permanent service. When they appear on some other service they would be considered a cameo. E.g. SBS9889U is a permanent bus on 166. Today it is on 99. That is a cameo

Easy. You always eat at Blk 123(example) coffee shop everytime. Suddenly, you saw a coffee shop nearer than Blk 123. So you went there. Means we spot you on a uncommon places. Same like Bus Service.

There are 2 types; mundane cameos and rare cameos. Rare cameos are normally shared to alert others of such cameos so they can take pictures of it or ride on it if they want. Mundane ones are posted probably for own records
