I still think this bus will go to SMRT. SMRT is the only one using those vents, and the EDS hints at a citybus operation. Though the BT shuttle does open up an extra can of worms...hmmm.

Kinglong Hybrid Bus Starts Service in Singapore
English.chinabuses.com: on Jun. 23, Xiamen Kinglong United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Kinglong) held a grand ceremony to mark China’s first hybrid bus, Kinglong XMQ6121G Hybrid bus being exported to Singapore. The bus, is also reported to be the first of its kind that will be put into service in the country in Southeast Asia.

Singaporean government has long been attaching great importance to energy saving and emission reduction so as to maintain the city-country’s hard-earned reputation as a garden city. In 2008, Singapore mapped out its blueprint on clean energy and made it quite clear that it would strive to become the center of the world in demonstrating application of clean energy products by the middle of 2010s.
Charles Tan, President of Kinglong (Singapore) took interviews from the media
As the third largest financial center in the world, Singapore is also one of the busiest ports and the hottest tourist destinations around the globe. According to some local media reports, it is estimated that the market demand for new energy buses is somewhere around 4,000 units in the country. In a bid to take a share of the alluring market and project a good brand image, a host of bus builders have long been coveting the small country, including Benz, Scania and Yutong.

In order to take advantage of the government’s favorable policy, Kinglong followed closely on Singaporean bus market and offered a bus which was later put on trial operation in the country. Moreover, the company kept contact with the related government agencies and provided detailed information about its hybrid buses. Taking into account of Singapore’s warm and humid weather conditions throughout the year, Kinglong rolled out XMQ6121G Hybrid bus, which is equipped with stainless steel body frame and is particularly erosion-resistant. Other amenities of the new bus include seat belts and special lift for those physically challenged.
