  As I was waiting for my bus today, an 851 (the new WAB merc) made its way off and it made such a fierce sound 

  It was like the kind those heavy vehicles or Msian buses/lorries make with lots of exhaust fumes coming out (the bus sans those fumes though)

  Are these buses (wab merc in SMRT) eco friendly? Comply with any eco-friendly Europian regulation? 

  Cos I noticed the engine of the KUBs make very smooth sounds.. But I was almost scared/ shocked by the sound this bus made..

  I'm used to the sounds of the OCs as I take it almost everyday. These buses are Euro 5 (first in S.E.A. and what SMRT mentioned: 'Euro V is the new level of emission standard set to be enforced only in 2009 in Europe.')
