I do not want to see any newspaper report later saying that someone fall onto the road and was hit by vehicle while trying to take some bus photos. Dun play with your life because of a few photos. It is NOT worth it.
I have seen people risking their lives for something that's worth it.
But for a few photos of a vehicle that technically can be taken along the route at some place where its safer, it's not worth it to stand at some tiny divider and take a photograph of the vehicle.

if the BC flashes the bus headlights or sound a horn at you, just stow ur camera away and do not continue taking pix.
if you are taking pix at a certain bus stop and the BC opens the entrance door and asks you why you want to take pix, please try to answer his qns so that you won't get caught later. don't just keep taking without you noticing the BC is watching.
Actually for me, just ignore them will do. Photography of buses is and was never a crime in the first place.
I find that if I ignore them, there's nothing much they can do except to drive on. More extreme bus drivers will take photos of you taking photos of them (not concentrating while driving - heck just complain to the relevant bus companies) or do some funny stunts like emergency braking and coming down to question you. Then the passengers on the bus will complain.
Just remember do not take photographs of buses with important buildings in the background. Then you're safe. There is absolutely nothing they can do to you for taking photos of buses - neither is it stated explicitly in the law book that it is a crime.

i pretend not to even bother the bus captain exist if they flash light at me/horn. Simply remove BC out of the equation and replace it with invisible man.
if BCs wave at me (some do), i'd wave back if i not checking the pic if it is ok or not.

show here on sgf lol.
if those who have the means, its better to invest in a digi cam with gd optical zooming capabilities so you dun have to go near to take a shot..
also, you only live once & plz be mindful of ur safety when snapping bus pics as its not worth it to risk ur life juz for a rare cameo for example..
yesterday while snapping pics along whampoa rd, a BC who was on his way home asked me in a friendly manner what was I doing as he spotted me holding onto my cam..

Most drivers would ask in a friendly tone about what you're doing. But some will act as if they are the policemen of Singapore and anyhow whack at you for taking photographs of their buses.
贼心虚? You decide.

I believe they do have the right to ask, of course they have to see the tone of how they ask.
Some of them do smile and laugh it off, some of them just pretend never see. Some went (insert hand joke here) and pointed at us.
both oso I experience before, BC with the pissed off look as well as a ?police NS guy who showed me his warrant card & asked what was I doing..

5 clues spotted....
No wonder i find the pic why so weird and funny looking one...BC head where got so big, why is there a warped fence, why the door weird. original already distorted
Good effort at photoshop but please take note of the bus and the things around it...it'll give a clue to us it's originally distorted.

Yes I agree they have the right to ask, but that means I also have the right to not respond to them.
Of course, if they ask in a polite way I'd respond politely.

I hope the BCs can actually treat us like any other photographers instead of a special group just taking the photos of the buses they are driving.

as long as i can stand straight and not quite fatty, should be not a problem camping at there. the width of median with fence is enough to hold a person. 2 lanes only at there also dangerous? not as if i standing at highway -.-
You may not see the consequences of your actions unless you drive...
You may see your actions as small and insignificant..but it can distort the decision-making of other road-users.
Moreover there have also been fatal accidents involving people who stand on the central divider.
the BC may also think what he or the bus had done wrong when u take a picture of his bus..
then u may use the picture against him in a complain etc..

You courting death is it? The centre divider is very narrow with the fence.
it's not that narrow. the fence is not in the middle but more to the left/right. =D
but oh well, just be careful haha

I think is the reflection of a building causing the BC head looks bigger.
