  Ok.... but I believe there are free shuttle rides to suntec and marina square area... so in the event of IT show, I think majority will take the train and opt for free shuttle service later. =)

  City Shopper is a good initiative. The reason why it cannot survive is due to the route its using.

  551 - Ppl along Hougang Ave 8 can take 147 to city although it never go to Orchard or MRT at Hougang MRT iirc

  576 - ppl can take 518...

  577 - ppl can take service 143??

  147 also takes hours just to reach city.

  I would rather take CT8 and transfer to 143/10 at Chinatown. Cheaper. If not I take the direct NSL.

  sigh.....finally i sense the demise of premium bus services....it is a pity to see them go, especially i can take fm orchid area at $0.95 to my hse........sad......even cheaper than normal trunk

  After 27 July 2009, I only got one bus to take, Express 518. Slow at all times. I prefer to take CityShopper 579. Very fast.

  Hope Express 518 can deploy some double decker after 4pm. Quite crowded around this time.

  SBST should have review the bus fares and charge normal fares for these svcs instead of withdraw them, this will eventually cause inconvience to some pax staying along the areas.

  I think they should charge the kind of fare like Chinatown Direct, $1 and $1.80. For sure more people will take.

  Yea... $3.30 may still be cheaper than taking a cab, but I think majority are not comfortable with that pricing since they are so used to fares below 2 bucks the most.
