  Hope Express 518 will get extra bus or change some of the single deck bus to double decker bus during peak hour after CityShopper 579 end their service on 26 July 2009.

  I suspect some of the extra bus from 578, 579 or 581 will go to bus service 15A.

  578 perm buses will go to 159
  579 perm buses will go to 37

  good idea but the route might be too long. 581 will lose out since most residents get a seat on NEL anyway to travel to town, so if 581 goes thru sengkang before going to town, no one from punggol will consider taking it except on the return journey. good thing is, we might be able to save probably 2 to 3 buses from this proposal.

  Actually it's about the same. 34 has a crossover from 581 before start of operations on weekdays, so what they basically do after the CS services withdraws is just to convert that bus under an S shift on 34, trip timings roughly no change at all.

  Yea me too. I've been taking it to Suntec and Orchard ever since it started.

  But I do agree that the weekday load is quite bad. When I took the bus just now at Suntec (around 4.50pm), there were only 8 people onboard...

  nope. add T shift so it affects AM off peak time too. sadly it is a kub. you guys will know which one next week.
