  That why I hope Express 518 can deploy some double decker since CityShopper 579 will no longer be offered from this monday.

  or just plain old (but expensive 518)
  Since the possiblility of that service returning is almost nil (so much for "suspended' :'( )

  The route can be changed to make it ply Orchard, Scotts, Newton and Moulmein two-directional. Meaning it will not use ECP to return back to Pasir Ris, so with this change, DD deployment is possible.

  Technically speaking the Voith powered VSOs and B9TLs would be able to do so, even with full load.

  Not a bad idea for Express 518 to use PIE on the way back to Pasir Ris instead of using ECP.

  Really hope CityShopper 576 or 579 will come back...

  Before cityshoppers were introduced, Express 518 carry all the passengers whom used to be a frequent commuter of CityShopper 579. In my opinion even if 579 were to withdrawn i dun think it will affect much of Express 518 loads and demand.

  revenue collection probably doesn't justify DD's. each bus may be packed but in a day, it may be ferrying only 10% of what a trunk service ferries in a day.
