Ok, I can see the New Boon Lay Interchange is almost done.

what is the point of an airconditioned interchange.. on average spend 10-15 mins there only..

but Bedok int seriously deserves a makeover..

I saw a notice on the SBS office in the int.. that some works will be going on this month.. but alas it was just for the driveway and bus parking lots.. road resurfacing at those places.

not really though. ppl can use the aircon int to wait for ppl for hours (imagine a guy waiting for his gf, mum waiting for her family to meetup, or shop around while waiting for buses.

Look forward to it, otherwise those ppl living at Centris will have to breathe in those fumes from buses and hear those bus and train noises everyday.

around 3rd Quarter 2009. actual date unknown but i feel that it would going to open to public and buses very soon.

How would the traffic flow become? Last time at the old BLI, all buses turning right instead of the current two-way entrance = massive jam and JB-style queue.

of course! all buses come out from 1 exit and all the buses are parked within the int and not another part of the int.

got the layout map of the new boonlay int? any customise parking lot for bendies? hehe...

Nowadays the new Int system always have 2 ctrl office.. like AMK, Clementi(SMRT didnt use).. TPY Int only got 1 ctrl office.. NOt sure for Sengkang Int... I think only got 1 ctrl office..

I only knew SBS didnt have any ctrl office in Yishun... drivers used to make a call at the SMRT ctrl office.. now the phone is gone.. don no how the drivers c their schedule..

I believe SBS is using the rear bus parking office @ woodlands int?

managed to stumble upon a little of how it looked.

the layout is very similar to the previous Boon Lay Bus Interchange but with lesser sawtooths.

colour scheme is dark blue, gray and white. not as plain as the previous aircon interchanges.

there are 5 alighting berths, which is different from the 3 in the layout.

then there are 6 sawtooth boarding berths, each for 3 services only.

22 end-on berths serves 11 services. I am very sure about this. a unique point is that 4 of the end-ons in the middle are designed with twice the length of railings for queueing.

I think 30, 154, 174 and 198 will get them since they consistently have longer queues.
