True,
I don mind getting 2nd buses from london since same driving on the left.. So far I had never seen any 2nd buses on Singapore rd by SBS or SMRT
I thought bendies aren't in the playing cards of LTA now? ![]()

You're not the first one. After all these buses are WAB and are relatively new.
Apparently LTA decided bendies weren't very suitable for SG conditions. It was a shame because we will never get to see the MAN NG313 on our soil.
Y bendies not suitable? due to buses caught fire like london?
lol.. sad to c tat my favorite bendies is ban =X.. I can just take the ride easily in my area..
ten wat SMRT gonna do? purchase DD? lol.. i don wann end up like HK.. all DD on the rd.. shld be contrast of Bendies n DD... its so nice to view them running in the town area... like Orchard, chinatown n marina.. 1 look u will no its SBS or SMRT
Banned from the roads, banned to bring in more, or quota limited? All are different things you know...
Ban from the roads means forever also cannot have. Not even when Mars hit Earth. All bendies now in Sg must be scrapped when this is said.
Ban from bringing in more means all bendies de-registered upon their lifespan will never recieve replacements.
Quota (limit), means can have, but must be brought in as replacement. One-for-one thing.
So far after so much discussions on bendies, no one have been able to prove this point clearly, with documents from LTA, so I suppose that its quota applied.
If banned (from the roads), you must be wondering why there are still bendies running everyday.

I think is banned from bringing in new bendy buses.

Anything wrong with purchasing DDs?
Comparing the people from HK and SG, HK people are willing to go up the second deck even for short distances. Singaporeans prefer to squeeze on the lower deck. So DDs removed from some short route feeders.

Left or right hand drive?

Right hand drive, follow left hand rule. I believe that is what he meant.
Right Hand Drive means Driving on the Left(SG, UK), Left Hand Drive mean Driving on the Right(US, China)
Our buses are Righ Hand Drive. For those who are driving will know what I mean
Seeing all this cool London bendies only make me more and more jealous that we can't have them in the future. If LTA hadn't imposed this ban on bendies,we still have a chance of seeing SMRT bringing in this bendies.
i rmb reading some where...but are these bus flamable like the bendies?
here the post: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Articulated_buses_in_London
Early withdrawal of bendies in London.. Sad =(.. Hope SG still got bendies in future... after all they r the real king of the rd.. they are faster tat SBS bus!!!
I like it..!
Heard from my friend at LTA only a few can be purchased upon scrapping.Means lesser bendies for SMRT.
The cancellation/premature withdrawal from london roads are mainly political in nature...
Mercedes > German
DDs n their engines > mostly UK
aniway took their bendies when i was in London for a period of time...
the buses have zero steps front end to rear
plastic bucket seats dun differ much in terms of our bendy, the interior is light blue...
and theirs is not like our plug door, they push n slide doors...
passengers using their oyster cards can board from the rear doors unlike urs...

I dunno why bendies so easily got into fire, maybe Merz should really take note of it? Other brands got this problem in other countries too?
Cheers.

Rear boarding not suitable for Singaporean Kiasuism personality.![]()
Cheers.
Actually, when SMRT & SBS started ordering their new WAB buses, I was wondering if they are going to order new WAB DD & bendy buses but it seems to me that they are but at a lesser volume. I wonder how normal buses are able to cope the high volume of passengers especially on busy routes currently served by bendies/DDs. Well we will see what is LTA going to do when they take control over the bus system in a few years time & hopefully fixed the bus system at the same time.
