NDP Shuttles/ Public Sv arrangement

  apparently SMRT went to outsource majority of their participant duties out to private operators, ratio 1 SMRT to 3 private buses. looked nice cos those private buses display e SMRT NDP shuttle chit

  As for public bus sv, think e 8:30pm - 9:30pm slot, esp 56, 107M & 195 lambat dip dip. 1 Sv 857 MB went astray into Marina area

  When Raffles Ave reopened, crowds went to throng onto e SBS buses

  How come this year SBST not sponsoring those free shuttle service for those participant already? They so stingy now.. lol

  I suspect it's NDP committee arrangement, but honestly SMRT is a GLC leh

  but outsourcing majority of it shows badly on SAF occifer organiser choice over who's able to single able to provide shuttles

  Why not you be the organizer and choose the operator you want? Looking through the tenderer's proposals and cost breakdown and weighing the cost and potential efficiency and being scrutinized by your unit's finance officer isn't an easy task.

  And for goodness sake, stop creating new threads when there are threads for you to post such matters in.

  these kind of ali baba deals, who knows the middle man actually ends up makes a profit? Might as well in this place give it to private operators straight. It seems at SAF side it's very clear as to give it to who, but sub-contract these and out to 3rd party, transparency becomes a issue.

  ali baba deals in M'sia occurs when a Bumi co takes a govt contract with giving e works to a Non bumi firm to complete/ execute...

  It seems here in Singapore is similiar, GLC takes e contract and outsources it to private firms
