Withdrawn in late 1992. Service 163 was amended to terminate at Toa Payoh on the same day to cover for service 137's route between Toa Payoh to Upp Thomson Rd.
Service 171 was then the one and only route to Zoo from Yishun Interchange. In 1994 SBS introduced service 138 from YCK to zoo, 171 was amended to skip Mandai Lake Rd.

Yes all under AMDEP route group.
In the past the 2 feeders were 214E and 214W. When under Tibs control the feeders were renumbered to 820 and 821. Eventually got renumber them again to 378 and 379 when SBS took back control.
when svc 63 was under HGDEP, it used to have most perm Mk 4 DM am i right? does mk 3 also perm HGDEP 63??

80 and 85 were under full hgdep. Most of the VOs on 111 were inherited over from hgdep. 9200G 9563J went to 111 because of the ads.
U're years junior I suppose cos I'm P5 in 2000.
The 9276 in sgwiki previous deployment did show HGdep 25, my ticket archive got tix of 9276 as svc 25, though I hadnt associate which depot it came from back then.

Last time used to have South Canal bus terminal. Service 195 used to terminate there as well as old services 55 (South Canal to Mei Chin Rd) and 194 (South Canal to Yong Siak St).Think the old service 55 was withdrawn somewhere in 1988-1989. When South Canal terminal closed down in 1992 service 194 was withdrawn whereas 195 was extended to Marina Centre.
When South Canal terminal closed, service 195 was amended to Shenton Way terminal before amended again to Marina Centre terminal.

Service 61 did have route changes before, that was in the 80s.Initially was between MacPherson Estate and Ulu Pandan, I remember Merc OF1417 Hawkes and Albion Vikings did that route in the past. Ulu Pandan terminal was shut down in 1987 and service 61 was extended to Bt Batok via Clementi Rd and Jln Jurong Kechil. DDs (0305s and LAs) were introduced then.
Somewhere in 1990 service 61's route was further extended to Eunos from MacPherson Estate via Ubi Ave 2 and Jln Eunos. No route change since then.
i said route changes except extensions. u emntioned only extensions. svc 61 route between machperson to Ulu panadan still tis orginal route in 1969.

svc 171 roots were green bus service serving zoo to queen st ter. later the bus went under UBC.
Finally into SBS.
one route chnage noticed by me was the amendment to use enwton rd (last time stevens rd)

When was the service amended to South Canal terminal?
Craefurd St ter
its orginins... i think
Lets assume that tay Koh yat Chinese Bus company began in er 1937 (lol), now they need to compete in city right? just so happen they have a depot further down along this road called beach Rd, facing the sea.
tay Koh yat Seaside bus depot (charming..)
anyhow they set up one base of operations at Crawfurd St area then known as Hoi how Rd.
And mostly they (Tay Koh yat) cater to the army croowd in the north . so they ran services to Sembawang naval base and air filed etc .
by the 1950s, the Singapore Mallacca Express also called ard the area,. thus a bus interchange was formed. No sure if there are any other bus co use the same terminus areas.
Later in 1969 or 1970, tay Koh yat was merged with some other co to form UBC.
the new bus numbering system was use. Thus came the UBC 160 and 161 to call at Crawfurd st. TPY was new so came ??? 150. a new svc 195 was introduced as orchard rd and town area needed more links to the West (beiong that kampong Bahru Bus co was being dumb and din into any svc that ran like 195 so that the municipal authorities had to interfere with a new route after the rationalisation into 3 bus co)
195 essentially served the Mallaca exp servixes and the UBC svcs to YMCA, havelock, Delta and telok blanagh. The service prob ended at Delta bus ter (gagek berat dunno what...) (along with 65, and 196)
Side tracking UBC 160 became SBS 160. in 1983 i guess became TIB 160. then SMRT 980. 161 which ran paraell to 160 was switftly withdrawn by mid 1980s.
150 too was found useless.
lets concetrate on the 195
i have no idea on this 195. assuming we begin off from the 195 i mentioned above, it was invovled in a feeder service integration. namely svc 203 Bouna Vista - margaret dr (via commonwelath dr north)
this integration meant that 195 had a new roadisde ter at commonwelath dr north having been extended thru depot rd. ( assume svc 63 then serving depot rd is not invovled in this)
at the other end it is likely that South Canal is chosen as the new ending terminus.
this i assume to be 1989,.
end of crawfurd st ter story.

Currently, Service 61 passes through Tanglin Halt Rd from Holland Dr. Does the 61 under SBS plys the same route?

Yes. when it was under SBS, it went by those roads you mentioned.

Gagak Selari Barat, renamed Jalan Bukit Merah in 1970.
Tibs service 161 was Sembawang Rd End - Shenton Way. Withdrawn in 1992 or 1993.
150 and 56 bear some similarities. Both use Thomson Rd and Middle Rd to get to town.
61 was inherited wholesale by Tibs from SBS.
209 entered Crawford St Ter from Victoria St and Jln Sultan. It did not serve the whole of Beach Rd.

There was also another Tibs service 850 in the past, from Yishun to Bt Merah. At that time service 167 plied between Admiralty Road West to World Trade Centre.
When services 161 and 850 were withdrawn in late 1992, service 167 was amended to ply between Sembawang Road End to Bt Merah. The amended route covered part of service 161 and 850's deleted sectors.

If I am not mistaken, service 56 was a loop service between Bishan and Toa Payoh. Think later it was merged to become Bishan - Marina Centre service.

Crawford St terminal continued to serve as a bus terminal for Tibs services 160 and 181 until late 1998 when it was officially closed down due to major road upgrading along Beach Road.
