O305s didn't remain long in JR. When the LO3Xes arrived the former were all transferred to East Dist (HG). Later a small number moved over to AM, classic example being 2583 (HG 154 >> AM 166).
One example was service 7, I remembered riding on the MB0305s when I was young. There were LAs too if I am not wrong. Somewhere in 1987 the next batch of LO3x came into service 7, the LAs were withdrawn.
I remembered in the past HGDEP seems to be having most of the MB0305s. Last seen them on services like 74, 153, 154, 165. Some feeders like 322, 328, 385 ever had MB0305s before.
In 2001 all the MB0305s were phased out. That was when SBST bought 20 fleets of Dennis Tridants and were given to HGDEP.

67 was under both BBDEP and BNDEP control. To be exact, the fleet consisted of MK3s, Mk4s(DM, Strider), Scania CRB.

188 was under JRBP. The fleets were made up of: LO2xs and Merczs. The perms I remember were as follows: SBS7120S, SBS453C etc........
So, 188 is another Choa Chu Kang service which was under JRBP instead of BBDEP, other than 175.

Why CSS was borned on the 16 May 1975?
This is one of the good question. CSS was introduced both by SSB & NTUC Comfort, which alleviates the road traffic congestions along the CBD area, which is better known as the Park And Ride Scheme.
With the scheme, commuters can park their cars at the 16 designated CSS fringe car parks (which I'll mentioned at the later parts) and take the CSS services from that fringe car parks. But only a big failure was --- the Fringe Car Parks is a wasteless facility because not many park their cars since the car parks has many parking lots that no one bothers to use them.
Hmm, perhaps i have missed out the Bus stop notations for the CSS services. Also note that some of the bus stops are used as terminating points for some CSS Services.

188 (Jurong west st 91 version)
likely Merc OF 1113s . later when the NZMB merc OF1417 finally came in, they upgraded to that. Svc 188 did not live long enough to see mark 2s.
another 188 appeared in the 21st century era. This one had Lo2x even. More noticably it took in many ex svc 172 Merc O405. one of them being SBS511 whom i seem to have a fasicnation with. (it died stalk me on svc 188). even today when is ee SBS511 i remember its 172 days.
the Jurong Bus Interchange started off as a bus Interchange with a small maintaning and refuelling section at the corner of the Interchnage.
much later the two were divided and the corner with maintainance facilities became a full fledged bus depot.
the shell petrol kisok standing there today marks the boundaries between the two compouds. the trailer park was once the bus int. a small entrance to knowhere marks the former entrance to the int from the AYE side.
It's been a while for me to contribute the history of bus services. hmm, let's see what I'll should contribute, maybe I'll go for the Yishun bus services
I'll go briefly on how Yishun New town was developed. Initially, that part of the Sembawang Rd (around Nee Soon/Chong Pang Village) stretch stands 2 new blocks (Blks 101, 102 and the 4 precedding blocks 103-106) around the small satellite town which was known as Nee Soon new town. Even its road name was known as Nee Soon Ave 5, Nee Soon ring Rd before Nee Soon new town was renamed as Yishun new Town because this town was expected to expand its developemnt on other parts and fully developed by the end of 1989, other blocks in the 7xx series (blks 701, 702, etc) were still under construction, although villages/kampongs were cleared due to the redevelopemnt of the residential area. With the renaming of the New Town, the roads were also being renamed as Yishun Ring Rd, Yishun Ave 5, etc
Now let's go on to its bus services.
It's very obvious that none of its bus services catering at the pre-development of Yishun New Town. However, noticably some of the bus services that ply along Sembawang Rd like 160, 161, 164, 167 & 169, although those service served along the block of HDB flats that are situated adjacently to Sembawang Rd.
Those 5 services were then handed over to TIBS in 1983, and as early as 1984, because Yishun fall under the Northern boundaries of Singapore, the services as well were fully operated by TIBS, with the rapid developemnt of the Yishun New Town. There were only 4 services from TIBS at the start, 2 were feeders and the ohter 2, were trunk services.
Feeders:
800 - Yishun Ave 5 to Yishun St 71 (Loop)
801 - Yishun Ave 5 to Yishun Ave 7 (Loop)
Trunks:
850 - Yishun Central to Bt Merah (via Thomson Rd and enters Marina Centre on Suns & PHs))
851 - Ysihun Central to Bt Merah
Both Yishun Ave 5 and Yishun Central terminus was only a small temporary bus terminal for feeders and trunk services respectively, awaiting for its bus interchange to be completed in 1987, which generally coupled conveniently to the new Yishun MRT station and the proposed shopping Centre at the Yishun Town Centre (presently known as Northpoint).
Before the interchange opened to the public in 1987, here was the newly introduced services that operated from Yishun Ave 5 and Yishun Central Terminus in additional to 800,801,850, 851.
Feeders From Yishun Ave 5
802 - Yishun Ave 5 to Yishun Ave 3 (Loop) [ introduced in 1986]

Originally posted by Khairiano:Does anyone know about NR17?? from where to where and past by where?
NR17 runs from Choa Chu Kang Int to NTU via Bt Batok, Jurong East, Corporation Rd, Boon Lay Ave and loop around NTU roads (Nanyang Ave, Nanyang Dr, Nayang Link).
Let's move on to the next episode of the history of bus srvices in the 3 towns -- Choa Chu Kang, Bt Batok and Pasir Ris, but let me start off for the Choa Chu Kang first. Hmm, maybe I should add on Lim Chu kang as well. The Bt Batok & Pasir Ris bus service history are on separate posts.
==== CHOA CHU KANG / LIM CHU KANG BUS SERVICES HISTORY ====
In the pre-1971 re-organisation, Choa Chu Kang bus services were operated by Green Bus Co Ltd, serving the rural districts of Choa Chu Kang and also Lim Chu Kang areas, coupled with RAF Tengah along Choa Chu Kang Rd.
Green Bus 2 from Lim Chu kang to Queen St via Bt Timah Rd/Duneran Rd
this service will divert to Choa Chu kang Rd (End), around kampoung bereh/CCK village on certain timings.
Green Bus 8 from RAF Tengah to Union Jack Club, North Bridge Rd
this service operated only on fridays, sats and suns. Its opperations from RAF tengah was from 6-8pm and from Union Jack Club (North Bridge Rd), from 12am - 12.20am
Green Bus 9 from Tg Kilng to Choa Chu Kang Rd (end)
this service runs from tg kilng at jurong via Boon Lay Rd and unnamed road leading to Choa Chu Kang Rd.
On 11 April1971, the day of the re-organisation, the services fall under the UBC Group. 1 bus service to CCK and the another to LCK.
UBC 172 - from Lim Chu kang to Prince Edward Rd (integrates with former Green Bus 2 & 8, convert to full day service)
UBC 206 - from Choa Chu kang Rd end to Tg Kilng (former Green Bus 9)
Somewhere in 1971, UBC 206 was extended to Lim Chu Kang Rd End, while continuing to serve the Choa Chu kang Rd End sector.
Int the 1974 reorganisation, service 172 amended to skip Choa Chu Kang Rd End, while a new service 179 from Lim Chu Kang to Upp Bt Timah Rd was introduced and runs via the entire stretch of Upp BT timah Rd and Choa Chu kang Rd.
In 1977/78, another new service 177 from Choa Chu Kang Rd End to Upp Bt Timah Rd was also introduced and runs parallel on the service 179 (for part of Choa Chu Kang Rd (starting from the junction of Lim Chu Kang Rd/Jln Bahar), Upp Bt Timah Rd, Jln Anak Bukit sector). It was noticed that 177 was amended to start its trip from Upp Bt Timah Rd and loops at Choa Chu kang Rd End.
In 1978, service 206 was amended to call at Jurong Interchange, as part of the Jurong Bus Service Rationalisation.
However, in the early 1980s, with the amendment of 177, service 179 was withdrawn and part of its route were covered by 177. Service 177 was withdrawn in 1985.
Now, let's move on to the present generations of Choa Chu Kang. The part of Teck Whye Lane was starting to develop in rapid succession in the 1980s, with the mass clearing of squatters/ villages to make way for the HDB development. the 32 blocks of 1-story SIT flat were also being cleared to make way as well.
The only terminus in Choa Chu Kang was situated at Choa Chu Kang Dr, with 3 services terminating there, mainly 75, 179 and 185, before the actial location at Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, which is also located to the Choa Chu Kang branch line of the MRT on 10 Mar 1990.
75 - Choa Chu Kang to Marina Centre [service extended from Clementi and extended to Marina Centre]
179 - Choa Chu Kang to New Bridge Rd [service extended from Bt Batok]
185 - Choa Chu Kang to Shenton Way [new service]
With the interchange opening, 2 new feeder services were introduced, services 300 and 301, and TIBS SS7 was introduced later in 1990, to cater residents of Choa Chu Kang to Woodlands new Town, when the Woodlands MRT extension is planned and began its construction as early as 1992/93.
Services in Choa Chu Kang in 1990:
75 - Choa Chu Kang to Marina Centre
179 - Choa Chu Kang to New Bridge Rd (withdrawn)
185 - Choa Chu Kang to Shenton Way (was shortened to Jln Anak Bukit in 1992)

Some things you might not have noticed:
When SBS won its contract for the NEL Line, the Sengkang services from TIBS had to be handed over to SBS, while SBS handed the service 190 to TIBS and 864, 865 and 866 was handed to SBS, which so-called the exchange between Sengkang/Jln Kayu services and Choa Chu Kang services.
EDIT: Corrections made.
67 originally was a semi express sv using PIE bet Tampines & Jln Kolam Ayer.
I remembered Sv 303 was placed in 1994 or 1995's Transitlink guide stated as a planned service, to be introduced once Yew Tee's road network is developed

==== BUKIT BATOK BUS SERVICES HISTORY ====
Its name 'Bukit Batok New Town' was taken from the former Bukit Batok Transmitting Station which is located at Bukit Timah (around Lor Sesuai and off Upp Bt Timah Rd/Old Jurong Rd)
In its previous boundary, the present Bukit Batok New Town was part of undeveloped Jurong village, which covers most parts of small road tracks surrounding the Jurong Village, which was well-served and well-connected by its only main road, Jurong Rd.
When the new satellite town, Bukit Batok New town was almost in a fully developed stage, a new set of bus services were introduced to cater the needs of Bukit Batok Residents. They are serviec 122 from Bt batok to St Michael's Ter, and 3 feeder services, namely 361, 366 and 367 which plys around the Bt Batok estate. Service 365 was later introduced in 1986, when the Bt Gombak area of Bukit Batok New Town was develped.
Service 189 from Bt Batok to Marina Centre was proposed according to the 1985 Bus Guide, but it was introduced around the 3rd Qtr of 1985.
We take an overview of the Bt Batok Bus Services in 1985:

361 - To Bt Batok West Ave 8 (Loop)
366 - To Bt Batok Depot (Loop) - loop at Bt Batok St 23

365 - To Bt Barok St 34 (Loop)
366 - To Bt Batok Depot (Loop)
367 - To Bt Batok West Ave 7 (Loop)
On 27 Sep 1987, the Bt Batok Interchange opened and all of its Bt Batok Services were amended to serve the Bt Batok Int and replace its temporary terminua at Bt Batok Ctrl.
SS3 which runs from Clementi to Bt Batok West Ave 7 (Loop) existed as a termporary bus service until the MRT starts its operation. When the EWL link was extended to Lakeside, the service was shortened to Jurong east int and when the Branch line to CCK opens, the service was withdrawn.

Thanks for the write up of Bukit Batok and Choa Chu Kang bus services history.
So there was no bus services in Bukit Batok before the 1980s?
Missed the good old days of the bus services during SBS days in these two new towns, bus services standards were much better than what it is now. :(
Remembered the "roller coaster ride" on the front seat of Leyland Olympian 3 axles on service 106, when leaving the vertical berths of the interchange to the road od exit and DDs on 190.
==== HISTORY OF PASIR RIS SERVICES ====
The history of Pasir Ris service can be traced back as early as 1984, when its lone service, 403, which plys from Pasir Ris Rd (Pasir Ris Beach paek) to Elias Rd and loops back. This service only operates only on Suns & PHs on selected timings only.
Not many have noticed that Pasir Ris (in the past there was Kampong Pasir Ris which is off Loyang Rd) was once a fishing village, which coupled together with Loyang area, facing the sea and the famous Pasir Ris Bach Chalet Resort and the pasir ris park. But until in the late 1980s, several HDB flats were completed in Pasir Ris mainly block 1xx and the NTUC Pasir Ris Resort (now Downtown East) was also erected just around pasir Ris Close/Pasir Ris Dr 3.
The only service, whcih was the first service to terminate at Pasir Ris terminal at Pasir Ris Dr 6 was service 12, which was extended from Somapah Terminal because that terminal was closed permanently in 1989 and at the same time shortened to New Bridge Rd. Another service 19, which loops at Pasir Ris Dr 6 from Bedok, was also being amended to terminate at Pasir Ris Ter until when the new Pasir Ris Int opened, then service 12 and 19 was amended to terminate at the new Pasir Ris Int.
when Service 4 was being merged with Service 19, the service became Pasir Ris to St. Michael's ter in 1989. Service 19 was then withdrawn and a new feeder service 350 from Pasir Ris to Pasir Ris Dr 4 (Loop) was introduced, followed by 351, 352, 353 in the later years of Pasir Ris Services.
Service 403 was amended to start its operations from pasir Ris Int to pasir Ris Rd (Loop), to enhance its services to the newly developed Pasir Ris New Town.
PASIR RIS SERVICES IN 1990
4 - To St Michael's Ter
8 - To Toa Payoh (AIRCON SERVICE)
12 - To New Bridge Rd
350 - To Pasir Ris Dr 4 (Loop)
351 - To Pasir Ris St 11 (Loop)
403 - To Pasir Ris Rd (Loop)
Another interesting point to know about Service 350, is that the service runs through Pasir Ris Close / NTUC Pasir Ris Resotr (the looping point of current Service 354) on selected timings only. On other occasion, the service would directly continue via Pasir Ris Dr 3.

There wasn't any services in Bukit Batok in the pre-1980s. In fact that big portion of land, where the Bukit Batok New Town currently stands, was part of Jurong and its other villages, and was never being part of Bukit Batok.
In fact, 'Bukit Batok' was the only landmark of the transmitting station in the past, as well as the Bukit Batok East and Bukit Batok West school along Jurong Rd (off Upp bt Timah Rd0
