Thanks. One more question to ask:
Is the Mercs an O405? If it is, were some of the Mercs replaced by a bendy version of it on 911, 912 & 913 due to high demand of the bus services?

That NAC Mercs is referring to the O405s. Then a few years later, all of its fleet of 911, 912, 913 were full fleet bendies, when more bendies were still under delivery and roll out at that time.

Its route is the same except that it had extended to Geylang Lor 1 Ter and was made to renumber as 980.

CSS179H too. I once took it full route from Woodlands to Choa Chu Kang in 2008.

However, I still see some non-bendies on 911, 912 & 913, mostly 911.
And what is the reason to deploy more bendies on 912 & 913?

I know. But It's two Saturdays before 29. I can wait, but not too long. I will come back next week.
When was the year where SBS1637H-SBS1895D de-registered and what models were they?
does anyone know the MRT rationalism exercise when the MRT first opened in 1987?

A few of them used to be on 343 and 344 under SBS era before they went over to HGDEP. =)

it last from 1987 to 1993
An additional exercise was supposed to be done in 1994 but was later scrapped cos too many changes
ppl couldn't digest it
seriously it isn't a MRT rationalisation prog fully.
SBS at e same time took e opportunity to rationalise bus routes in non MRT corrdor either w/ changing demand or cos of resettlement like Sv 83's case.
I remember SBS used to operate Sentosa bus routes from HBF, TBR and ORC stations. They used Volvo B10M MkIIIs with rego numbers in the 600s range. Which ones were those and which depot did they come from? They had green liveries as well as TV sets on-board showing what was good about Sentosa.

No, they are all Volvo B10M MK3s for the Sentosa buses, under SBS Leisure. The MK IIs weren't even air con buses when these Sentosa bus services were in service in the mid 1990s.
The Mk IIs were only converted to CAC from the 2000s onwards.

Ya, it was the MK3s that do the Sentosa services.
Someone posted a picture of them in Facebook recently before.

SBS1637H - SBS1695P are 1984 Leyland Atlanteans with Alexander R bodies. All pharsed out by 2001/2002.

u dun get it
The MRT rationalisation was not really for e MRT.
Cos for 4 reasons.
Before I go on, they stopped at 1993 cos too many complains abt e changes.
1) Resettlement: No pt for places like Punggol to have both 82 & 83. Hence, SBS could get deploy better resources onto the amended 147 to Hougang which was developing.
2) Feeder Svs: Though lesser buses needed to CBD due to MRT and remove bus - bus duplication, buses were alrdy needed to cover the new towns. Singapore experienced boom in New Town devt in 1980s.
3) Corridor w/o MRT: Like Sv 163, instead of going to CBD, serve Toa Payoh instead. Or like 201, extend to Hougang to let ppl at Bt Timah got bus svs to Hougang Ave 3.
4) Buses still needs to be there: Eg like 105 ended up plying MRT route instead of Holland Rd. The buses still needs to be there.

You mean 1988, since the first MK 2 only comes to Singapore in 1988.
You mean that epic picture of SBS1696L, Volvo B10M MK2 with Alexander PS body with the old 174 desto and forest as background, which is believed to be Old Jurong Road???
It was used years later for SBS Bus Charter advertisements.

Then I'm not sure because I don't have the annual report of that time.
But the one I mentioned was epic, appeared many times, including the 1992 TransitLink Guide.
