You started disputing tat 1637 - 1695 are MKII and not LA. You even insisted you're right all the way.
so now I said 24XX are O305, surely you going to believe they cant' be double decks.
Then let me tell u as I've posted in prev page, SBS did practice running numbers for registration before streamlining SD and DD's rego order.
as for strange, I think there's clones in tis forum alrdy.
I dun need to explain how come I ended up quoting wrongly when on mobile mode.
Come on, no need to quarrel.
The MK3s have done Sentosa services before for services A, B, C, and E which respectively from World Trade Centre terminal, Tiong Bahru MRT and Orchard Road. Forgot another place it plies.
But a short while later SBS Leisure brought in the PSV Soon Chow Volvo B10M MK4s, together with PSV Soon Chow Scania L113 for AirBus services. That's when MK4s replaced the MK3s for Sentosa services. The affected MK3s were then repainted back to SBS livery and put into revenue services for SBS services, till now.
MAybe someone here can talk about the Sentosa bus services under SBS Leisure and the bus deployments. ![]()
B was Tiong Bahru MRT to Beach Station (A roundabout similar to Palawan's but at current Beach Station)
C was Tiong Bahru MRT to Central Stop (Sentosa Ferry Terminal)

Service B was Tiong Bahru MRT to Allanbrooke Rd, loop at the roundabout outside the former Dolphin Lagoon.

Look
1696L - 1895D are MKII DM/WA.
582-881 are MKIIIs and the early series 6** were used for the Sentosa fleet before the PA registered MKIVs came into the scene.
Stop making a fuss over this when so many people have been trying to clarify this!
Which depot did the Sentosa Mk IIIs come from? When SBSL took over Sentosa ops, which routes did the former Sentosa buses serve? SgWiki is down and I can't check.
My memory tells me that buses with rego 616 to 640 did Sentosa routes. Is that roght?
Post removed. Come back again sometimes.
When was the year SBS 7030T- SBS 7129T manufactured and deregistered and what model makes were they?
SBS9003J and SBS9019P & other x-fered LO3xs long-term cameoed 99 when SBS9225K was redepolyed to 196 and SBS9392K was redeployed to HGDEP SP until SBS9403M went over to perm 99.
Originally posted by TIB 781 L:When was the year SBS 7030T- SBS 7129T manufactured and deregistered and what model makes were they?
SBS7030 - SBS7112 are Mercedes-Benz O305 & Mercedes-Benz OF1413 respectively, registered in 1983-84 and de-registered in 1999-2000.
SBS7113 - SBS7129 (- SBS7197) are Leyland Olympian 2-Axle, registered in 1986-89 and de-registered in 2003.
Some questions of deleployment on 169:
1) When did 169 started using DDs? How many DDs did it receive and what models are they?
2) After 169 had been handed to TIBS on 5 June 1983, what are the fleets it used and what models are they?
3) When did 169 started using bendies? How many bendies are there at first?

This is what I can remember for 2) and 3):-
2) If I remember correctly 169 had mainly Nissan Diesel U31F and Hino HT228KA fleets.
3) Service 169 started to have bendies in year 2000 which appears only as a trial on weekday peak hours. Only in Mar 2001 service 169 was introduced with perm bendy fleets.

MB O305s on 154 came from HGDEP. It wasn't based in JRBP during its final years.

169 & 178 used to have DDs during its SBS era. Probably in the 1980s. The only DDs were used are the Leyland Atlanteans.
========= WORLD TRADE CENTRE / HARBOURFRONT BUS SERVICES HISTORY =============
Well, its long overdue for the WTC bus services history, so I should carry on posting the info here.
A SHORT HISTORY...
Back then, that plot of land near Seah Im Rd/Telok Blangah Rd were solely belonged to the former Port of Singapore Authority (PSA). In its meantime, commuters would alight from one bus stop facing directly or just opposite the WTC to head the venue for its exhibition. These services were NEVER terminate at the roadside around the WTC though, but these existing buses came from Alexandra Rd / Tanjong Pagar Rd (near Anson Rd)
SBS had negotiated with the PSA to built a new bus terminal at WTC in 1983. A possible site - at Seah Im Rd / Telok Blangah Rd was drawn out by PSA, and its proposal of the new bus terminal at WTC is to improve the bus services at WTC, though there is a growing demand of bus services that served WTC. Before the terminus was made to fully fledged its existing bus services terminating at the two terminus, the agony comes to waiting for a bus scheduling to pass by the WTC and its terminus was the main purpose to better serve the commuters who are heading to WTC.
The WTC bus terminus was completed at the end of 1984, with existing SBS Services CBD 1, 84, 93, 100 & 163, and TIBS 167 & 180 serving the new WTC terminus. It commenced its operations on 13th Jan 1985, replacing the Tg Pagar Rd and Aleaandra Rd Terminus.
(The terminus was being upgraded in par with the new North East Line connectivity, and was renamed as "Harbour Front Interchange".

Sentosa Mk IIIs came from HGDEP. 20 Mk3s (SBS616A to SBS635U) were first seen temporarily serving on Sentosa Services while waiting for the new PSV Soon Chows to be served on Sentosa Services.
SBS636S - SBS640D did not serve Sentosa Services. It was first posted to BBDEP for 190.
The MB O305 DDs in the 24XX 25XX series are:
24XX: SBS2477X, SBS2478T, SBS2481H to SBS2499H (NOTE: SBS2479R and SBS2480K were NEVER being registered)
25XX: SBS2500L - SBS2592X

The MRT rationalisation was not really for e MRT.
Cos for 4 reasons.
Before I go on, they stopped at 1993 cos too many complains abt e changes.
1) Resettlement: No pt for places like Punggol to have both 82 & 83. Hence, SBS could get deploy better resources onto the amended 147 to Hougang which was developing.
2) Feeder Svs: Though lesser buses needed to CBD due to MRT and remove bus - bus duplication, buses were alrdy needed to cover the new towns. Singapore experienced boom in New Town devt in 1980s.
3) Corridor w/o MRT: Like Sv 163, instead of going to CBD, serve Toa Payoh instead. Or like 201, extend to Hougang to let ppl at Bt Timah got bus svs to Hougang Ave 3.
4) Buses still needs to be there: Eg like 105 ended up plying MRT route instead of Holland Rd. The buses still needs to be there.
All these rationalisation exercises were conducted by TransitLink. It was never being called as the "MRT Rationalisation" but actually called the "Bus-MRT Integration Exercise"
However, with the major changes taken place within the 3 years from 1990 to 1993, the PTC, also monitors the bus services changes that had affected hundreds of commuters that frequent the bus services.
As mentioned, 142 & 147 is also another complaint sent by Potong Pasir Residents in fear that 147 no longer plies at the Potong Pasir estate due to the direct link cut off to the CBD.

1. The old service 5 (withdrawn in 1999) used to ply a part of Pending Rd, right? And what I know about this road is the name was changed to Bt Panjang Rd. Why?
2. Before 921 merged with 700/700A to ply Dairy Farm Rd and Petir Rd, where did the original part of 700/700A ply?
1) Service 5 only plies Pending Rd (Os Bt Panjang CC). It continues its route from Bt Panjang Rd onwards by turning left to reach Blk 113 bus stop.
2) It plies Bt Panjang Rd and continuing its route from BKE onwards.

Vicamour is right. 1637H - 1695P were Leyland Atlanteans. It is true that when the Sentosa Services were introduced, the Mk III were used at first. The PSV bodied Mk IV came later.
SBS1637H - SBS1682B and SBS1690C - SBS1695P.
* SBS1683Z - SBS1689H aren't registered at that time.
As mentioned, the Mk III on Sentosa Services were only temporary. When the PSV Soon Chows arrived, these MK3s were then removed from Sentosa Svc and put on revenue service and were based at HGDEP.

It got mixed up with Mk3, partly because of the WA bodywork.. MK2 and MK3 WA bodywork are looked alike.
Sv 169 note (a fact that some might not have know it):
It was the first bus service to get the new Nissan U31F (TIB43J and TIB44G) beside the pioneer batch of Hino RK176 when Sv 169 became TIBS on 5th June 1983.
