sme1 WROTE to zaobao 交 section[smethin like the ST Forum section] abt the new buses should be deployed on sv145 as its always using old buses[wic i find the merz still in excellent condition, able to speed, air con gd]
SBST[Tammy Tan] replied that facilities abt Buona Vista not ready to take K230UB yet...
i suspect its the exit used by sv32, sv145 and not used by sv48,74...

Add on the frequency of sv133 is adequate as the SDs comes quite fast

Yeap esp morning peak towards Buona Vista. Often, passengers can't board at the Parkway, Amber Road and Tanjong Katong bus stop as it is usually full by then.
I am not sure if deploying Euro Vs will rectify the problem. Maybe they can consider adding 1 or 2 buses to the fleet or introduce more x-over trips.

Deploying more K230UBs makes sense because they have a higher standing capacity than other buses. It makes more sense for more people to be able to board the bus than for more people to have a seat and still face the same overcrowding problem. Additional trips would help to alleviate the problem.

You dun get my point...
people are standing on the bus but they would ve a seat if its was a Strider/DM3500, MKIII and there are a lot elderly, young parents w kids who uttilise this svc

I get your point loud and clear.
Having more seats still does not solve the overloading problem. In fact by having more seats, it exacerbates the problem. I would rather be able to get on the bus than have to keep waiting and waiting to board the bus. And this is coming from someone who die die must have a seat when he takes a bus.

The stretch of Dunearn Rd outside SCGS has low-lying trees. That's the main issue with 48. Another thing is that DDs may not be able to cope with ascending the steep ramp at Rochor Rd towards ECP.

No wonder TIB562C never do 187 nowadays whereas TIB498E keeps on cameoing on other WLDEP services, today on 171, ex-perm.
