Took SMB114R (KJDEP SP) on 67 last Sat (16 Jan) at ard 1045pm at Serangoon Rd.At first wen i went up the bus,everyting seemed alrite.Then as the bus started moving,i realised tat there was no aircon coming out from the aircon duct above me.Then i slowly realised that the whole bus was bloody hot and stuffy and tat there was no aircon throughout the whole bus.There was totally no air circulation inside the bus,and the bus was super crowded at tat time.I kept putting my hand up near the aircon duct to check tat there was absoloutely nth coming out from the duct.The bus had become an oven and needless to say,everyone was starting to suffer inside the bus alr.
As the bus reached near Lavender,a lot of ppl started to get very angry and were fanning themselves wit watever they had in their hands.As tat obviously didnt help in any way,some ppl started raising their voices and complaining abt the aircon failure at the top of their voices.As nth was done aft tat,many ppl started alighting at the next few stops and transferred to other buses.I also got down at Kallang mrt stn as i cldnt take it any longer as my jeans and collared shirt were glued to my body in my sweat alr.
Aft i got down,i realised tat the rear EDS was also not working.Lol.I wonder wat had happened to tis bus recently :(

SMB114R side EDS not working as well, since long time ago.
1193C rear EDS always shows a blank...
TIB576M nut guards have been removed, think nearly a month already. I wonder why though, the bus is a WLDEP bus, not a AMDEP one.
And TIB463E has the left nut guard out back on! ![]()

Must complain to SMRT , is this what we get for paying higher bus fares? This shows that SMRT & their dirver dont take care of buses

Hmm tink its lack of proper maintanence,tats y the aircon can fail until lik tat.
Btw talking abt the driver,can the driver control the aircon?

driver has slight control over the aircon if i remember correctly
anyway breakdowns happen lol. SL should have declared breakdown instead of driving on. I know SBS Transit's SOP says that BC should declare breakdown if aircon breaks down while the bus is still a distance to the int/ter.
now not so bad le... gone were the days of heater in buses as well as swimming pools although the culprits are still around..
some years back, its very common to board any OAC merc O405 (SBS) or a mk3 or strider with the heater on and travelling at 30kmph.. BC also dont declare breakdown (faulty air-con is detected before start of trip right??), and happpily drive bus to interchange and pick passengers..
passengers so suay can only LL tahan it or alight and waste time and money for alternatives..
now, u hardly or never encounter heater buses.. also, the LO3x upper deck will flood like a swimming pool during heavy rains.. now also never encounter them anymore..
the DM3500 were the ones i noticed, kept their cool all along

its always like that de. Previously the front EDS does that bold/unbolding part when the EDS scrolls, now it doesnt.
