maybe.... cos it's not an essential feature after all ![]()
some history lesson..
Toa Payoh was the last interchange to have the old NBDD tv...
and it seems like it will be one of the last ones to get the new one operational...
the NBDD has 2 separate displays - one for the passenger and the another for the staff (at control office).
For Passenger (installed both at Control Office & Interchange Concourse):
- Display service number / WAB logo (if the service is WAB certified) / Departure time / Berth No. / Major routes covered & Termination Point
For Staff (installed at Control Office):
- Display service number / Estd Arrival (in mins) / Rego of bus

there is rego for the Staff NBDD.. but it is only meant for the staff of the interchange, which is installed inside the Control Office.

According to a 176 perm driver, KJDEP is in the midst of replacing brakes for the hispano habit. He says that the only perm 176 habit that still uses the original brakes is TIB1236M.

good idea.. just like IRIS... but the buses never depart according to time from interchanges.. always +3-5 mins from advertised time
That's because the timing stated on drivers' timesheets are the times they have to go and tap their card at the office. The timesheet does take care of the amount of time needed to walk to their buses and drive to the boarding berths but the iRIS concept does not take into account of that.
In fact one of the worse terminals for delayed timings is YCK terminal. With the traffic light timing at almost 2 minutes Sv13 & Sv162 buses always arrive at the AJC bus stop on average 7 minutes after scheduled departure time...

This is to prevent the crowds for those going to RWS, its normal and usually any SMRT Buses can do that

Can we see the timing for 854 at the Bedok Interchange or it is just for SBS Transit services?
