Many people will queue during peak hours, yet frequency is not as good as 96 & 179/179A....
Actually SBS can play PM peak 95 downroute pattern as like wat 179A has now.
SBS2679E has its SBS Transit logo pasted at the middle-front, following SMRT Scania Striders' style. ![]()

wah they talk like sbs transit they own one
Obviously you dont take 95.
95's irregularities can match 151 at times, which should not be case, since 151 has a much much longer distance to travel.
And usually the Sci peeps suffer when the bus leaves Kent Ridge and gets full before it even gets to Sci.
That's where downroutes that start from YIH helps tremendously.
The next problem for 95 is going to NUS. Its frequency is really lousy when you compare it to 96, which does not serve Sci.
The Sci peeps grievances are justifiable because it does not come close to 96 which people are generally satisfied with, but which does not serve Sci.

but BNV is pretty tight unless bus stops are staggered... tat's from what I see based on total no of trips made by all the plying buses.
tat said
any buses into UTown can't be 95, 96 or 151..
151 maybe still say can... 33?

It isnt really 95's fault that its frequency can be quite jialat, traffic conditions and the human sardines at BNV and people literally trying to jump into the bus through both exits are not helpful.
I quit 95 eons ago for that reason.
As for 151.
That one has a messed up schedule. Maybe tml I'll upload a nice picture and a story to tell to prove that point again.
TIB997G a.k.a. the worst MK2 bendy for it's interior.
> 1 of the seat from the 2nd last row from the rear was having a torn rubber handle, which the metal part was exposed.
> Seats cover were also torn and dirty.
> Bus bell was slient(should be common)

that the problem at BNV.... imagine one sv95 took 5 mins for ppl to board? likewise for sv92? but then just wait for the circle line to open later this year....go straight to NUH.. take internal shuttle... or transfer sv95 at NUH there....

Wa
now buses gotta stop here and there for all these out of nowhere MRT station access pts.
So much of reducing travelling time.

anything wrong with putting a bus stop near the mrt exit?
Originally posted by lemon1974:anything wrong with putting a bus stop near the mrt exit?
it's becoming a trend on the CCL tat new bus stops appear 1/2 way in bet existing stops at some places.
A balance has to be striked in bet travelling time and convenience. If it's places like Bt Merah where's there's elderly and w/ e land terrain, still ok.
i don't see why we shouldn't expand/extend busstops at MRT station exits...
have to count in people making MRT > bus transfers..
current busstops that are too small i would say are...
opp. Redhill MRT stn &
Pioneer MRT stn to name two...

actually some stations the transfer vol isn't high.
Pioneer MRT no sweat.. AM peak is 241 alight, PM peak 255 & 257.
SMB106P on 858A yesterday, last trip.
