Don't rely on auto. Try this, your next photos should improve a lot just by overriding the settings :
- set ISO to Highest/Maximum
- disable flash
- enable multiple bursts
- compensate for extra brightness or darkness using EV adjust. If your photos are consistently too bright or too dark, then you know you need to adjust. Don't forget to set it back to neutral when you move on from the location.
These are band-aid fixes looking at how you are trying to shoot. They are useless against Coolair and SICMAs, but I presume you don't really want to cover them just yet.

The VO2x picture looks slightly brighter, but is still very very terrible to look at. The tree is blocking the bus. It is also blur and I can't even see the bus rego plate and the sunlight direction is wrong. Although I understand that not all pictures have to be perfect, but its your ATTITUDE of wanting to improve your phototaking skills.
I suggest that you stop this freaking arrogant attitude of yours. It's really UNPLEASANT to look at your posts. You have learnt taking photos properly, so? That doesn't mean you can go around criticising at other people's attitude of photo-taking. I believe they want to learn too, but it's YOUR ATTITUDE that pisses them off.
Period.
The photos of buses thread never fails to make me laugh.

Bro, its +/- 10mins 1900hrs... the sun has set earlier from now till December/Jan
if you would like to take night shots w/o FLASH, simply stand near/under lampposts, the pix will appear sharp, detailed... juz refer to my night shots[eg]...

Relax. They just wants to bring an ignominious name for themselves. From the sidelines, the people here would just take their behaviour in and base their judgments on those people from there?
To everyone, learn to correct someone or something with a heart and take in criticism with understanding. Give people the freedom to post, like I said before, this thread is not meant for taking perfect quality photos but one who desires to take photos. not everyone is that skilled to produce such photos. But if you got a bus photo, good or bad, share it. (:
If you offered help to improve someone and that person has declined, just let the person be, you cannot force your idea upon others. You have offered to help but his stubbornness will cause him to lose out. But if you have not and gave quick critical remarks with arrogance, I'm afraid people will begin to look lowly at your prideful attitude.
With much said, everyone repose yourselves. (:

Ok leh. Not a bad shot by a long mile.
At least the details are discernible compared to pictures where some parts of the bus gets over-exposed in an attempt to "balance" the overall exposure..
PS: Sunlight is a tad over-rated....I prefer less-intense sunlight.
It doesn't make you a gentleman when you descirbe others as lowlife scums and BFE wannabes. Neither you are that great when you crticise the pics badly.
I say I dislike people who are BHBs. I also don't like people who show off their ability to enter security premises using money. If you are not, you shouldn't be disturbed by these sentences. Thank you.
I note the sarcasm from a previous comment by a certain user.
It doesn't make any one greater than others when my facts are presented out in the open with an EXTRA here coming in for the sole purpose of thrashing this thread.
BFE wannabes for that matter, it would remain as an opinion of mine. I am not obligated to ANYONE to give him/her absolute perfect pictures. As far as I am concerned, I made my effort to take photos to the best of my ability. I am just starting on this, and this is the very convenient backlash that follows Mr Extra.
And yes I have entered Changi Cargo Complex. But no money on my part was involved. I state this now before people start having "creative" ideas of their own.
You may call me spiteful or bitchy or wad-not, I don't care. Forget about any reasonable means of communication after a nice round of flaming. There won't be any. And I also dislike people who like to butt into things that DO NOT CONCERN THEM.
All other low-ballers who have any slightest intention of coming in to shake your tails, you can boomz off now.

But i love this angle :D
Also, if these sentences do not concern you, you shouldn't be disturbed by them.

As said, nobody in the world is perfect. Each person has his/her skills on certain things and some don't.
