I am still waiting for answers from LTA...LTA is the agency who designed the fare stages system as well as the EZlink readers. The Ezlink card reader displays fare stages correctly if the VLS (Vehicle Location System) is in Auto mode.
Fare stages would then be updated accurately and hence there will not be error in fare deductions. The problems now are, that the fare stages shown could be inaccurate if the VLS sub-components malfunctions intermittently, or when the bus driver switches it to manual update mode. So..it is only fair that the correct fare stags are made known to passengers at the bus stop prior to boarding the buses.

Let us know as soon as you get a reply from LTA.
In my experience, fare errors occur most often on route 36 at Suntec City and buses that ply below Keppel and Pasir Panjang Viaducts due to poorer than normal GPS satellite reception.

Yesterday Oct 28, while travelling from Bt Panjang to Plaza Sing on 190, I was charged $3.80 by operator! So the onus is for the passenger to check and claim the refunds....
I check the GTM and the service shown is 531 instead of 190.
Bus plate is TIB897, looks like a PRC driver.....

I have called up Translitlink and asked for refund via bank account.
This error is unacceptable......

Lol. 531 again. I got scammed by that svc while riding on 859. $3.80 Bye bye.

So did they manage to refund you in the end? I once was deduected twice on SVC132. when I alight at AMK Station, I immediately went to Transitlink counter to verify, and they send me a cheque two weeks later.Cheers.

New poles have extended to Kallang Rd till Lavender St junction, the lavender mrt side havent got them yet.
Blk 1 Toa Payoh Lor 6 has the new cemented pole base (as shown with pictures somewhere earlier in this thread) next to the current pole.

Yes, checked my bank account. Credited $4.30 by transitlink. I missed the transfer rebate of $0.50 ($3.80 + $0.50). Looks like the whole trip for sv 190 was free for me.

Toa Payoh? Think most probably Toa Payoh may be the next target of changing to new Bus Stop Pole.

Yesterday I saw 2 lorry some worker changed the bus-stop pole ouside city plaza...
and Dunman Road, Tanjong Katong Road, Geylang Road, Sims Drive/Place had change the new bus-stop pole yesterday.

Circuit Road(Pipit Road Side) and Mattar Rd have their new poles today at 2-4pm.

Upp Serangoon Rd , Upp Aljunied Rd , Geylang Lor 1 terminal bus stop and Alijunied Rd (except for Aljunied station bus stop) have new bus stop poles.

Geylang Rd only a few bus stops have.
