Just like service 36 swopped Euro 4s with short haul services like 17 and 358 EEVs
If that's the case then Svcs 63 and 123, which has a sizeable fleet of Euro 4 Batch 1s as well as plying the city area just like Svc 174, should get EEVs to replace their fleets of Euro 4 Batch 1s.

5160/5161/5197-5203 posted to AMDEP.. now AMDEP take in total 17 KUB, mean more Merc will be gone soon....:(
I wonder why SBST doesn't bother to wash the rims; they were so nice when new, and now they look like crap, full of brake dust and other stuff. Noticed that the Euro IV KUBs are getting sluggish. Took a 24 that revved like mad but didn't go as fast as it sounded. Euro Vs however are great! SVC 36 once when 80 down Benjamin Sheares!
Today wen 8887G was at the bus stop,i heard a very loud rattling sound. The sound was coming from it's engine.U all know hw the N113s used to rattle and vibrate last time? The sound was EXACTLY jus lik tat.At least the N113's rattled and vibrated in the interior.Tis one leh.On the exterior as if the bus is gonna break into small small bits at any moment. And i was standing so far away wen i heard the rattling noise. It was lik as if someting loose was stuck inside. It was so damn noisy man.Wen i listened to the sound,it was jus lik the N113s had came bac to life!!Tat was hw real the rattling sound was!!
The N113s ony started to vibrate and rattle terribly towards their end of their life. But our dear kubs leh.If its a E4 B1,i wldnt even b surprised. But tis was a EEV.Ony nearing one year if i am not wrong.Lik 5 or 6 yrs down the road, then vibrate lik tis can say la.Haiz unacceptable man.
Does all old and new KUBs have blueish-white interior lights for the entrance?
Not the 2 round ones, but the one just like SMRT Habits, long ones.

NTUC bags is a VSO problem. ![]()
leaves aren't a VSO problem since the rad is mounted on the wrong side of the bus ![]()

they were running downhill.
that explains why.
damn, my screen is dusty.
Some KUBs are programmed to lock-up at 2nd instead of 1st, but as expected of the "too-flexible" gearbox settings, its easy to get these buses to lock-up at 1st instead. Easier than say...the MKIV, which I have experienced probably only 2-3 times. Of course its the Strider, because the DMs are simply too slow for that to happen.![]()
The lock-up setting reminds of the MKII.

The Mk II's I took, most of them lock-up at first gear, producing a higher-pitch "scream" which was not that bad, but I also prefer the 2nd gear lock-up.
The KUB's I know of which lock up on the 2nd gear come from the 828x series.
