i believe after the scanias are registered, the B9TL wrights should come pretty soon.

Not exactly.. Wiki says that they are yet to be delivered. Haix.. I doubt it would be anytime sooner... 150 units leh :(

They are related..... coz CDGE are going to assemble the Wright too. But they need to finish all the KUB assembling 1st. BTW a press release already claimed that WrightBus would commence deliverys of kits around Spring 2010(March~May) iirc.

The 12m air-conditioned tri-axle buses, which will be built on Volvo B9TL chassis, will be supplied as completely knocked down (CKD) kits from the Ballymena factory in Northern Ireland and assembled locally in Singapore. Designed to meet the specific requirements of climate and high capacity transport on the Island City State, the new Double Deck buses feature share the highly distinctive styling cues from the highly acclaimed Wrightbus StreetCar RTV and Gemini 2 product stable.
An initial prototype vehicle is currently in build and when completed and shipped overseas will provide a benchmark for local production, which is due to commence in spring 2010. Wright Group quality standards will be maintained by a highly experienced team of engineers from the Wrightbus factory, who will train local assembly staff in Singapore.
Delivery of the CKD kits is scheduled to start early in 2010, with all vehicles due to be fully assembled and in service by the end of the year.

I believe Spring 2010 means March 2010 since Wrightbus is located in the Northern Hemisphere.
I believe the Wright Volvo B9TLs will be here pretty soon after all the Scanias are assembled. All SBST buses here are all self assembled from CKD kits.
Anyway, how many of the 200 Scanias have been registered as of today?

150 units does not mean they have to build all 150 before putting them in svc.

about 130+. 126 registered already. should be done by june and continued by the wright. i have my qualms about CDGE assembled goods, quality control isnt that great if you compare it with the prototype built by Wright that will be delivered over.
the wrights will start running by latest sept ba

looks like AR/BB has the most amt of services w/o KUBs....are they waiting for the MK3s to phase out first?
Originally posted by SBS7382C:looks like AR/BB has the most amt of services w/o KUBs....are they waiting for the MK3s to phase out first?
Reason why? Because ARBP/BBDEP took in only a small number of Scania K230UBs all these while. Most probably got to wait for mass dereg of Volvo MK3s.
Trunk services like 16 and 195 still have majority Volvo MK3s in its fleet ought to be upgraded with newer buses by now. And till now still no news of Volvo MK4s going into service 160 and 170.
Noticed that sv76 scania's always have return desto as Siglap Rd
Asked BC and BC claim that the newer sv76 scania's do not have return destination Yio Chu Kang programmed...
Strange
Looks like BBDEP intake some of SLBP Batch 2 Euro 5s now.

Maybe SBST is looking into other new Volvo buses to replace the JB bound buses. Scania K230UBs will be impossible since they are too low.
SBST would probably be replacing them with Volvo B10M MkIVs (DM3500) that to be due for de-registration in year 2016-17.
Don't think SBST wants to risk putting new buses for JB services.

Last time can see easily see whether it is CT8 bus or not along AMK ave 4. now all services there got KUB.. so must wait for the bus to come closer.. better for them to input Chinese word.. easier for older people.

If they can program the dragon, the nite owl cartoon can alr programmed on the eds.
