I think should be getting rid of the UDs & ELBO & also a slightly bus addition to SMRT.
Pls dont tell me this is the 7 litre version.I'm not surprised if either KJ or AM get relocated or expand parking space.Heard bendy can only exchange one to one if SMRT were to buy WAB bendies.
Judging from radiator size and system placement its a 12-liter OM457hLA which in other words is the same engine as the OC models.
with all these disabled compliant buses does it mean no more bendy buses? i enjoy riding in them....plenty of space....

There are wheelchair friendly bendies in the market. It depends on the operator if they want to purchase it.

The 40% WAB by 2010 is ambiguous. If it's SBST + SMRT = 40%, then it's enough. But if it's 40% for each company, SMRT needs at least another 120 WABs to meet the quota.
Folks,
A similar looking MB Citaro G from Metroline, click below

I wonder which bus is SMRT intending to phase out next after the Nissan UDs and ELBO Scanias. Maybe the UMW Lances?
Lance is older than mercs box rigid meh?

Is SMB136C a demo bus or a Batch 1 bus?

Maybe replace the unrefurbished Scania striders since Scanias were registered earlier than DAFs.
OMG, the bus looks awesome.
I might check C&C out, since it's near my school. Are we allowed to go in or what? And I brought my camera ^_^
TIB425R lifespan ending in July 2011.
TIB425R ending date not extending?
I think the demostrator is now at C&C , saw it just now.
nice =)
Saw it just now, but no pics. Right behind the SBST OC500LE. Radiator of both look very similar, so prolly the 12-litre. Get ready for the same engine sound XD Not as bad as having 900 Scania DC Series engines, right?

I don't think they can extend the date too early in advance. But they should be doing so because without extending the O405s would mean a sudden loss of buses from its fleet. Its hard to say now because who knows by 2010 maybe SMRTB has bought enough buses to replace the whole fleet of UDs, ELBOs and O405s?

when the relevant parties have modified the bus to local specifications. The bus was wholly brought in from Germany with nothing being modified.

Meaning the bus was brought in one piece with LHD also? So they modified it to RHD here?
Or was that done at point of manufacture?
