As expected, yesterday i took the evening trip bus from yishun int to harbourfront int. I must say that im quite dissapointed of the whole trip. Not because of the engine performance but solely because of some bus fans who does not show any courtesy to other passengers (I'm referring to some of the bus fans who were standing). Some do not willingly move to the rear despite the announcements was made. Noise level wise I've got nothing much to say as i believe tht every bus definately there will have people's voices.

yup..
The door closing chimes of the Citaro not very good, and quite noisy as well.
I still prefer those on OCs.

i really dun understand why they behave this way
even if they are so excited abt new buses, but that doesnt mean that they should behave inappropriately

I experienced this when Service 241 started its revenue service last year.
any ideas till what time the citaro be in service?
The best thing I like about the Citaro is the very sensitive brakes it has... very very smooth but powerful braking system it uses.

Guys, PLEASE remember that only a very small minority of people even show a slight interest in buses, let alone take part in enthusiastic activities associated with them. Please respect your fellow friends and passengers, as any 'bad press' is potentially harmful for your cause.
Besides, why would any enthusiast want to be up the front of the bus when all the interesting stuff (i.e. sounds) is at the rear???

Haha there were many of them crowded at the front, using camcorders to record the ride. :)

Cos the entire rear is already filled up by bus fans ![]()

Patience guys. You're all working towards the same goals, so instead of hindering each other, why not show some assistance by not showing up altogether so that the videos / recordings / etc. aren't spoilt by noisy voices, excessive movement and so on?
haha i felt like i was taking a chartered bus when i took that citaro on 855 yesterday.
as I'm intending to go for a joyride on the Citaro tomorrow, was wondering if anyone could kindly let me know the timings aka schedule for tomorrow.
thanks in advance..
Hmmm... for the trip I was on yesterday morning, I didn't notice many bus fans behaving obnoxiously except for who I believe was TintinSpartan (not completely sure). As for myself, I tried not to move around too much, only changing seats when the coast was clear and when the bus had stopped. I was the one with the iPhone taking pictures and notes to aid in my review of the bus which I will be posting soon.
For now, here's a few pictures I took with my iPhone. Sorry about taking pictures in the bus interchange, as there was not many good opportunities for me otherwise.

Preparing to turn into Yishun Interchange. Compare it's front with the Scania in front and the MK2 Hispano MB O405G behind it.

His is when the traffic turns green but mine is when it is red :)
hello everyone.
i was on the 1539hrs trip that departed Yishun Int for Harbourfront Int.
it was a pleasant smooth ride. observed the SL was not keen on flooring the accelerator unlike the S-shift SL on its first day of revenue service as i read from other bus fans who gave their review here.
Aircon was quite stuffy on a hot afternoon day. Other passengers were feeling the boards above to find where the aircon came out from. Parents were fanning their children with paper pamphlets.
that is my main issue for now. would like to take it again when i have the time.
