Not because of the engine performance but solely because of some bus fans who does not show any courtesy to other passengers (I'm referring to some of the bus fans who were standing). Some do not willingly move to the rear despite the announcements was made. Noise level wise I've got nothing much to say as i believe tht every bus definately there will have people's voices.
No offence. But i also jus dun understand y some bus fans act as if they nvr seen a bus or took a bus in their life b4.Its always tis 2 or 3 ppl ony who cause enough embarrasement.Wats the big fuss man?I really agree wit wat u said above.Cant they jus relak and b jus lik normal ppl?Its so bloody irritating wen ppl stare at tis bus fans actions. We understand tat its a new bus.But is there really a need to clot up the whole bus jus on the 1st day of it's svc?I know there is someting to boast abt taking the bus on it's 1st day of svc.Come on.Giv it a break man. There is tmr,nex week and so on.Jus learn to b patient.
today, one stood infront.. beside the SL... body was facing the back of the bus, blocked the passageway. one passenger boarded..
passenger stuck.

When I was on the bus, siting there enjoying the ride and sms my friend, it is not so terrible as the evening one...but still could see people walking here and there. I was just "shocked" to see it...
Does anybody have timings for tmr?

I thought the sticker on the top was said clearly of not to talk to bus driver while the bus is in motion?

Clear to us,but not clear to some idiots, some people don't even bother to read notices.
Btw,the person was't talking to the BC because sinicker said that the person was back-facing the BC.

MY GUESS, is that 37 is without the foldable seat, 38 is assuming 1 person for foldable seat, and 39 for 2.

It will depart Yishun anytime between 0548 and 0810, only if the bus is in service. Its a 1 trip from Yishun basis, not multiple trips.
kenna complain again. think SMRT next time will deploy bus inspector on first day of service for each new bus that come out....
what is the cost of this bus? in straitstime, it was mention as S$430 000. the OMV is S$357 000... If the cost is really S$430 000, i think it will be better for SMRT to spend little bit more to buy WAB Bendy or even DD....

They did... one senior staff was on the bus for the maiden trip but alighted somewhere near Queensway because the bus fans who took the maiden trip were well behaved and didn't cause any problems. :)

2 one-seater just after the entrance door, 1 granny behind the one-seater that is directly behind the driver. 3 of such seats altogether.
4 rows x 2 seats on the left leading to the exit door + 3 rows x 2 seats on the left leading to the exit door = 14 seats.
1 foldable seat at the PIW bay (only meant for 1 person).
4 rows x 2 seats per side after the exit door before the last row = 16 seats.
4 seats on the last row.
Total = 3 + 14 + 1 + 16 + 4 = 38. I think it can be debated whether it is meant for 39 seating passengers because the foldable really looks like it can accomodate two people.
Standing capacity 44 passengers.
My personal view is that if you minus out the noise and heat given out by the busfans on the 1st day, things would be better.
Although yesterday when i took the Citaro,it was a little bit warm for an evening peak shift.
The fold-up seat should accomodate two Asian-size persons. For Europeans/Americans it may only be one. I got the idea of two persons after seeing multiple persons try to take the seat at the launch and at pax operation.
