Staff directing buses to let any reversing buses from end on berths while buses wait for respective berths for alighting during PM peak.
the new interchange is clean and comfortable. spick and span... well-lit. personally don't like sengkang int. worst a/c int if i had to choose.
definitely cannot take 179A load even if it were to switch over to the new int next year.
comfortable to wait. but as i was waiting, my mind was thinking the bus is taking too long to come and no amount of aircon will cool me down. all i want is the bus to come, hello. where's the bus?!
so yes. all those residents in the newspaper articles saying "wah comfortable. got aircon." will only be like that for the first few minutes. when their bus comes late they'll make noise. ![]()
just now when i leaving the int on 172. 3 staff outside at traffic junction. 3 inside at alighting berths...

interchange way too small
but at least there are more parking lots at sawtooth area.. and easier for the bus to find a lot than at the end on berth...and no need to turn in/reverse out and wait for empty slot..

it's a simple bus stop.
see if anyone going to peak hr crashload it
hmm.. i tot someone did post a layout of the joo koon terminal quite some time back? which does not look like a simple bus stop? but then not sure whether any work have started or not..

true, move 1 or 2 over just nice
but wonders abt mealbreak duration esp PM peak
Sv 198 BC was lamenting abt e parking crunch
"obviously carrying on like tis, will die one"
As for the Boon Lay MRT station bus stop, it's obvious that the private bus operators do not even know that it's alrdy in use for public bus svs.
The TP has to constantly tell them to move off

imagine so many private buses blocking the way for 172, 178, 180, 187, 194, 240 to enter the bus bay..

i think the one for 172, 178, 180, 182, 187, 254 also affected
That time I want to take the photo of Ikea buses. It is very difficult because all the private buses block the view. Got one time, the driver have to come out and see if anyone want to go to Ikea . The driver walk one round at the bus stop and asked the private buses to move in front a little.

do you still remember the controversy and commotion when Pioneer MRT station opened and SBS Transit decided to amend 242 and 243[to make it a one-direction service](according to rumours)
if I'm not wrong, this should be the original route amendment by SBS that was rejected by the RC people as it would weaken the connection for people living in street 61,ave4,ave5 and 81instead of improving them:

I am just thinking... since 179,199 and 179A have high passenger volumes, why did'nt SBS allocate the 3 bus services to end-on berths since these berths are meant for bus services with high passenger volumes{if I'm not wrong}? -no offences please-..
somehow, I feel that there will be a massive bus rationalisation when the planned Joo Koon Terminal{if there really will be} opens in the future and there will be more feeder bus services serving Jurong West.
frankly speaking, I feel that it's because the planners who planned the roads of Jurong West Extension made a mistake(do you feel that they deliberately planned street 91 in such a way that all bus services going there must loop there?) , that's why there is such a problem now... -no offences please-.
or... is this the government's long-term plan on buses, just like what they have on MRT? -no offences please-.
haiz.. I wonder... why must they do this even to buses?
-no offences please-
Joo Koon will have a Bus Int(perm) or Ter(temp) in future?
its full of cars, bus and people during peak hours and service plys street 64 and boon lay way get congestion..i think its time to build underground Jurong Region Line.. ![]()

If the nearby factories lease w/ JTC isn't going to end and it's not renewed, chances are it wun get a good located interchange even if one is to be built properly.
179, 179A, 199 in particular can't use e new int end on berths either. high bus turnover rate and not enough parking lots
