So afterall now, there is still chance that we can see TV Mobile in buses as usual but this time the TV Mobile will be under another operator?

2888T did the trial of TVM. Service 7 was the first service that had the trial.

if TVM had better reeception, would it draw more commuters to watch it? cos it seems like most of the time, the tv always seem to freeze at one point...

i loved the part where the tv froze at one point, 'destroying' all the faces on the tv. At one point, while i was on a CAC O405 on 97, a lady's face kept 'appearing' on somebody else's belly on the TV during the short belly dancing documentary.

if ever there's another operator taking charge of the TVs on the buses, it will not be rebranded as TV Mobile

duh.Its alr mentioned above that mediacorp is discontinuing it's TV mobile service with SBST alr.So all buses wont have the TV mobile lor.
seeing how some bus fans had reacted to no TVMobile on the buses next year. here's the bad news for those who didn't read the article fully.
the whole TVMobile will be dissolved from next year onwards. it means there's no chance to watch TVMobile not only on buses, but also the SMART taxis, Bintan Resort Ferries and other public places with TVMobile installed as well. this also means radio 89.3 FM will also cease next year. TVMobile had its existence elsewhere other than buses prior to this.
what i heard was , the putting up the the television is expensive + programming. imagine TVM on everybus , Mediacorp will lose quite alot of money
should retain TV to do route information
kena too much complaints...lol
Maybe the TVs can show small ads and travel info instead...like those on the NEL trains.
On some DD buses, the TVs are spoilt but the sounds are still audible on buses.
finally. . . never really enjoyed the tv in public transport anyway. the telly is best enjoyed in the home :)

They should offer free rides on buses with TVM, which show only commercials.
Free ride, but bombarded by advertisements.
finally. no more noise.
the sound on some of those buses is so shrill and loud... especially early in the morning or late at night.
you're trying to sleep but can't thanks to that annoying shrill barrage of noise.
Since SBST will be uninstalling the TV Mobile sets, will the Volvo B10Ms restrain back to the original sitting positions for the left side of the bus after the rear doors and remove the seat stump on the seat in front of the rear door from the Mercedes Benz O405 and Volvo Olympians???
have any1 noticed that batch 2 VOs' speaker is not loud than others?
I think Tv mobile is no longer profitable in the long run since they were first launched few years ago. The variable costs to provide public service might have risen up over the years that it is more cost effective to pay for remover service now than to substain even further.
ive seen MANY cases of TVM failing
SBS2643H, SBS3922X to name a few
SBS9670H and a few other buses black and white
some even off.
Im so glad they decided to take out the TVM instead of just letting the TV rot there

since when is SBST removing the TVMobile sets? TVMobile will only permanently disrupt their frequency broadcasts to the tv sets. SBST will leave the tv sets as it is while finding another tv operator that is willing to broadcast their services via these tv sets.

I believe that MediaCorp owns the equipment and will likely want them back.
Means some tekong enlistee when they bookin the penguin ferry will not have any TVmobile shows le..

SBST don't own the sets. Mediacorp will have to take them back once the lease period is over.

e freezing is due to e satelite on e roof of e bus.
