I'm aghast to see VSO on 60 though it has happened and can possibly happen, just that 28, 88 are more likely routes to get the cameos.

Seriously I recommended you to still use a compact digital camera when you are not so exposed to better cameras. I started myself with cameras only last year, May with a quite lousy camera which cannot pan pictures well. Then for some reasons the LCD broke, without reaching one month lifespan. Now using my second camera, I know why my old cam cannot pan pictures from a Sony catalogue, I have to set shutter speed at the highest 1/1000? If my camera can go that high....
That day MSN I was trying to give you ideas from all these Woodlands-ers taking bus pictures at various spots. The next time I am trying at Woodlands will be at the checkpoint :D If you can get the angle well, you can get very nice shots. Ask Rk 2010 when he saw me at BNL. I actually stood quite far from the exit of the bus interchange at somewhere near the carpark exit just trying to test angles. You can test different angles if you are not that familliar with some areas. You should have remembered suggestions I gave when I MSN-ed you.

imo SMB66X's pics aren't bad. If you are comparing about the angles, I think SMB66X can easily achieve rk2010's standard, if angle was something you tried to recommend earlier.
from what I have have seen so far, I've never seen rk2010 taking bus pics from the bus stop itself. So I think you have chosen the wrong example to show SMB66X. There's no criticism about these pics.

And just coincidentally, the 9800A pic Rk2010 posted on this pg was taken at a bus stop ![]()

You have mistaken what I've said.
I was saying about taking bus pics from bus stop itself, where the front of the bus looks bigger. rk2010 was standing opposite the bus stop taking an offside shot. There's a difference on where you snap.

yeah i totally agree with you! the 3 pics you posted really have NICE angles!!! good job! ![]()
this shot was also taken at about the same distance. which angle is nicer?

Try using this picture as a gauge to see which picture is good and which is bad. Don't worry about the center thing as you can crop the picture in Windows Live Gallery so that the target can always be in the center after cropping

as an observer, i personally feel SMB66X's photos are not that bad. In photography as a whole, we don't only talk about angles. I assume you're using a compact camera and have not laid you hands on a DSLR before. Compact camera, self-explained, is a point and shoot camera.
Lighting in a DSLR is controlled by 4 factors, ISO, EV, Shutter Speed and Apeture. You need to adjust these 4 values to strike a balance. You think it's easy, i assure you not. Even me being a user of a D90 for quite some time, is still trying out many things.
Just let him try out his camera. It takes time.
