Today
SBS9360C (HJ 51) broke down while doing Svc 51,at the bus stop opposite Funan Digitallife mall.Destos are not taken of,reason of breakdown:engine failure,front and rear doors opened.

A B9TL exit door broke down and was sent back to HGDEP, but forgot rego, sigh...

TIB751Z and TIB590X, both on Service 173 today (12/02/10), broke down at 1745hours plus at Bukit Batok INT due to the same reason: high temperature.

Broke down at Jln Toa Payoh bus stop, towards Marine Parade, before St Andrews Jnr school. Spotted at around 445 pm

- Made congestion along road even worse.

Date: 12 Feb 2010, Friday
Time: 2200 hrs (at time of witness)
Location: Near Bedok North Ave 3 / Bedok North Road junction
Nature of Breakdown: Overheated Engine (Suspected)
Details:
1. SBS 5003K was on Service 66 heading back towards Jurong East Int when the bus broke down on the extreme left lane of Bedok North Ave 3 just before the junction.
2. No passengers were on board at time of witness.
3. EDS showed "OFF SERVICE".
4. Rear engine cover was open.Trivia: The bus broke down right at the same spot where SBS 7344M broke down while on sv14 on the night of 29 Sep 2009 (Just that this time 5003K was just before the pedestrian x-ing, while 7344M was a little bit behind the pedestrian x-ing).

TIB812G(AMDEP 169) broke down at Jalan Kayu Circus at around 10.50am saw a mechanic fixing and of cus the SL. Wonders why is a AMDEP bus doing in there

Either that this bus was camoeing on 969 or 965,then the BC found something wrong with the bus so the BC stopped there,this is what I think -

TIB915T (AMDEP 855) broke down at bus stop along Adam Rd & SMRT lorry was at scene..
Time of spotting was at 1246hrs & EDS was stated as "Off Service"..

TIB1067J (WL 913) broke down at the bus stop Admiralty Primary School while doing 913,Front and rear doors open,EDS off ,Replacement bus is TIB1187X.

Today:
SBS9636H (BNDEP 10) carrying 28 deskto broke down at Tampines Int. Found lifted onto tow truck. Spotted at 3.10 pm.

SBS9021G on 502 with full set of destos on, brokedown at Jurong East Ave 1 Jurong Polyclinic bus stop at 3.52pm. red triangle sign is in place behind the bus. this caused long queues until at Jurong Canal Dr.

Lol. Cos u mentioned brake failure which is rather serious. The hissing sound should not affect the safety of the bus. Rather shocked that it was declared breakdown. -

Junction infront of Esplanade
Bus made a fast late left turn and threw 5 passengers out of their seats. An old lady was injured and an ambulance was called in. Ambulance arrived at 10 am at the Raffles Hotel bus stop along Beach Rd since the bus was told to stop there. Traffic Controller from SBST arrived on motorbike. In all, 2 passengers suffered back pain whereas the injured passenger was brought to a nearby hospital. Complimentary Tickets were given out. Bus driven by a PRC.

http://www.odyclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=486651cos is peak hrs anyway. Can survive to int then tell mech to check.. I asked my friend who is also mech says that it is still safe. Doesn't matter it is a BRBP or SLBP bus.
