You better do not put words in my mouth! I had never mentioned that AMDEP buses will burnt. I had said that amdep had the similar fire incident for twice.
BCs does daily check on all the buses. Does that mean SLBP bus cannot get into any accident? Did I say SLBP will never get into fire? No ones want accident but similar accident should not be happening for another time.
Both are accidents.Similarly to 8074K.. Speculation and comments that does not help in the investigation should not be talked about it here..

will you guys stop it? this is a place where people come and post buses that are involved in accidents or broken down due to technical faults or whatsoever... it is not a place where you argue over a depot where it has no link at all with the topic...CAN at least 1 thread be free of Anti SLBP/AMDEP or whatever! Sheesh!

someone said in hwz forum that the passengers shouted at the bus driver to stop the bus after hitting 3 cars but the driver reply cannot stop. likely is brake failure

The 21 passengers can sue the responsible party for the accident.
From the witness account, it is quite obvious what is the evident cause of the accident.
The good thing out of this accident is that no one was killed.
Imagine some one sitting at the bus stop and kana hit by the speeding bus.

but bollards may help to reduce the impact of damage..just by reducing the speed of the bus.

Its a brake failure as confirmed by some pax and the driver. The driver tried many times but the bus just won't stop.But it could be that due to the fast speed, it might have hit more cars if it goes straight.

Anyway, today:
TIB481C (AMDEP 961) brokedown at Queensway bus stop at around 5 plus today while doing 961. Tyre burst was the cause of the incident. Bus totally tilted to the right & SMRT small maintenance truck came to attend it. Many pieces of rubber from the wheel were strewn all over the floor.
No wonder I saw it at Marymount, heading to AMDEP at about 6pm.... Not towed, but a new trye. -
