7499, 8318, 9104 accident in just this week
somemore 2 of them got number "4" in it =.=
as for 7499, hopefully a LO3x will replace it

the previous SLBP buses accidents can be prevented, but this accident can be said to be unavoidable thanks to that tree.

1) Bus stop opp NUS/ Dunearn Rd: The tree inside e private landed property started to have its branches sticking out, beginning to hit DDs. It's e gao type one
Sometime back only got pruned.
2) The short tree at Adam Rd/ Dunearn Rd junction. Tis one e most scratch e window nia, but imagine e time 154 was using VO2x. Dunno if ppl got cut by e bare small branches before. I think it's bare because it overgrew and e leaves kena hit and swept off by buses or lorries.
Only got trimmed recently.

if those took ADDs on 74, 151, 154, 157, 174 would know how dangerous tat tree is esp on high speed.
The lane/ road is practically slanted resulting in bus tilting towards e tree.

This applies to trees along Toa Payoh Lorong 6. Most of 157 DD are smashing the trees along that road.

there was once SBS9042X got hit by a branch along Bt Timah Rd near King Albert Park due to heavy rains 2 mths ago, but only the front windscreen smashed.
another case along Bt Timah Rd, a month ago, the day SBS9093Z cameod 157 SBS9284J also kenna. the front windscreen smashed from a thick wooden twig which dropped and hung loosely suspended in the air below the old overhead bridge (the one with a lot of branches and flowers around it) just before sixth avenue.
not unexpected imo. just that it shows the inferiority of the CDGE bodywork, speed might have a part to play as well.

yes but there was once it was hanging all the way down that even a kub would hit it and thus smashing the VO3x. my 9093Z also got hit with a loud thud sound when it sped around 60 thru but the impact was less great as the 9284J had chopped some parts off the suspended thick twig.

look at the B9TL and all DD buses all around the world. What is supporting the top deck of the DD buses? Even if you use Wright bodywork, the top deck will also be same situation as this B9TL, if it hit the same tree/branch... unless you use reinforced steel to build the buses? but then i dun think the buses will be able to move at all.
