Jam due to 6-vehicle accident
A DELIVERY van hit one car before swerving into a row of vehicles yesterday evening.
The accident involving six vehicles happened at the junction of North Canal Road and Eu Tong Sen Street.
The Opel van had been travelling along North Canal Road at about 6.15pm when the driver suddenly lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a Honda sedan travelling in front of him.
The van then swerved into the adjacent Eu Tong Sen Street, where it was involved in another series of collisions involving four other vehicles.
The van first collided with a taxi, smashing into it head-on and shattering its windscreen. The impact pushed the taxi into a Nissan sedan, bursting its right tyre and damaging the right side of its body.
The van also hit a motorcycle before finally crashing into an SMRT bus, denting it and shattering its windows.

Yesterday someone was knocked down by a 147 bus along Hougang Ave 8 causing a fantastic jam that was big enough to be reported throughout the morning on radio.
Of course the relevant bus services were affected. As far as I know, they had to make a u-turn after dropping off the pax and then hang around somewhere.

SBS9633R on 31 (BNDEP 10) brokendown at mountbatten rd, near mountbatten mrt. -
TIB755M (AMDEP 854) was bumped with one 811 Batch 1 OC when reversing at around 6.55pm. Ended up that OC to have off serviced.

Unidentified KUB broke down along Pasir Ris Dr 12, EDS was off & breakdown triangle was seen at rear..
Time of spotting: 1705hrs..

2 breakdowns of SMRT Buses in an hour
2205 hrs: TIB771R on 700 broke down at Bukit Timah Road due to unknown reason. The bus was parked at a bus stop outside some private houses.
2251 hrs: TIB939A on 980 broke down right in front of TIB496K which I was riding at Sembawang Golf Course bus stop.

SBS9317D (BNDEP 30) broke down along Telok Blangah Rd, front desto removed & breakdown triangle spotted at rear of the bus. Time of spotting: 1315hrs.
SBS7406T (BNDEP 2) ?broke down along Sims Ave, front desto removed. Time of spotting: 1440hrs.
