Seems like SBS Transit keeps getting into accidents. Are the BC so sick to see Scania and lost control while driving? Or just getting those old bus out of SBS so that he/she could drive Scania? :o

are you sure? SBST got almost 3000 buses compare to 900 for SMRT. definitely the accidents rate will be higher. Also there is 1100 scania KUB, so easier for it to get accidents. SMRT also keep getting into accidents. 992/997/916/76 etc etc etc.. minor accidents sure have cos buses are travelling more than 18 hours daily on the roads..

spotted TIB1171 travelling off service along SLE at around 8.25pm. the bus is sort of like inverted V-shape if look from the side. the middle portion of bus (the joint point) seem to be pointing up, and front and back part of bus pointing down.. not sure what happen..

Yes the BCs may be sick to see Scania but ur 2nd sentence I disagree. Volvos/Leylands are less jerky than teh Scanias and the handling is good. Who would want to give up driving a smooth bus and substitute it with a jerky one?

TIB665P (WLDEP 980) on sv 178 - needs confirmation based on Marigold Moo Ad. broke down at the juction to turn into AYE (Tuas) at Jurong Town Hall Road, caused heavy traffic jam along the road around 8.45am. Front and back engine cover were opened.

sooner or later all BCs will get used to driving Scanias. like what lemon1974 said, SBST has 1100 Scanias, so the accident rate of the Scanias is higher

the leyland is smooth but its not easy to handle the bus cos the steering is heavy. very tiring to drive leyland

TIB1023 on Sv 851 brokedown at AMK Ave 6 (bus stop outside Anderson JC) at around 8.30am. Passengers were still alighting from front entrance, tapping out and collecting the breakdown ticket from SL, when the next Sv851 come along to pick up the pax. Luckily the next Sv851 is also a bendy which is quite empty....
