Beg to differ, as stated in the tender by RWS, the service must use Low-floor buses. I dunno if the tender does apply for 963R but right now, i dun think 963R will use 963E and 963 perm buses.
low floor buses actually dun work esp the rear
The kerb steps esp those on top of e tyres are super high! Not for Asians

excuse me.. 963R and NR1/NR6 are NOT tender service.. They are normal bus service regulated by PTC... just because it go into RWS, does not mean that it is tendered service of RWS. 963R will use any buses from WLDEP. as simple as that.
Just wait for Jan 30 please...Do not fight over with just that service. Answer would be reveal on 30 Jan :)

If it is true
double standard
From RWS to HBF, SMRT scheduled 12 mins for the journey. Bus was travelling at 30kph at e Sentosa bridge
Can give good running time for RWS8 yet cannot allocate resources and good travelling timing for basic svs
SMRT started as a stat board, seems like it has forgotten its past

Ya. We all have to see what SMRT will deploy whether in a SMaRT way or not.
Really must be low-floor? Cannot be more than 5 years old?
Then why did I see 2 Scania/Mercedes coaches being used? They both had RWS 8 destos (Paper Destos), are definitely more than 5 years old and, they can transport workers or children. Hmm, something funny going on.

Wow.
980 can have really shitty frequencies of more than 25 mins during peak hours. Just, wow. And the 980 drivers chiong like hell.

There were 2 types of RWS8, one being the staff version (for RWS staff only) operated by private operators using a variety of buses (Zonda, King Long, Mitsubishi etc) and the other being the public version (for public/guest only) operated by SMRT (OC500LE).
963R boarding point up at Woodlands Int. Sharing with 963E. Sawtoothless berth.

With a improper berth? ...Why wouldn't they put it at the 966 & 950 berth...

Citaro are totally diff from KUB or OC500LE. In any case e OC's front tyre seat is higher than e KUBs.
U've to climb steps for every indv seat aft e exit door. No doubt MB has been improving e design yr aft yr making e kerb step lower and lower, but if one is not careful as in attempting to get off from e seat and the bus brakes too heavily, ppl could trip and fall from e step. It's alrdy a prob w/ OC or KUB ppl moving to the steps aft e exit, it would be e same w/ O530.
