Bus Observations (2010)

The flow of 187/960/168 berth today at 3+pm:
SBS988B at 168 (confirm late departure)> SBS9486Z at 168 (it came 2 minutes later) > SBS9458E (it came 3 minutes later with TIB1155M)
Then, no 960 bus came.......
To conclude, SBS988B came at 3.41pm, SBS9486Z came at 3.43pm, both SBS9458E and TIB1155M came at 3.46pm.

Was the queue very long? Normally about 5-6+ the queue gets very long though

No, during that time. Even shorter than 960.Yahx, 5 to 6+, many RP people need to go home. But need 20+ minutes to get in the bus since some of people refused to stand all the way to Tampines/ Bedok. You should observe how terrible the crowd is: Till the alighting berth (of buses from WDL Ave 3/Checkpoint) there.

From what i observed, the crowd is like, very long, should be more than the length of abendy though, atleast more than 50, noticed that around 5-6. But the crowd should simmer at about 7+ onwards though, Not sure about the last bus. -

Saw that the queue for Sv39 stretched to the end of Sv855 berth again this morning, apparently another bus was unable to depart on time again for some reason.
The morning headway is 19 19 15 16 15 16. Seriously feel that it's very ridiculous for such headways during morning peak. Hopefully they do something to improve Sv39 service standards so that at least it can prove to be a competitor towards SMRT svcs heading east.
On a side note they don't seem to be bothered about the different types of Sv85 routes running. Both the Sv85s that are using the old route and the new route also show Sv85, how will a pax (esp around the transition time) know that the Sv85 will go by the new route or the old route?
Sent an SMS to iris on Tues morning 6+ towards Yishun to test out. It came back as Not operating now & Not operating now. So effectively the Sv85s using old route are not logged in?

it's very common for such rtsbut in any case, 950's queue on PH eve or Friday is also very long one.

Have been noticing Sv 106 macham as good as run express along Anson Rd. The SLs immediately keep to the right lane skipping the Synergy Hub Pt bus stop

Not sure if anyone noticed, 488J and 747L did 178 today, bunched up together at around 5, later 488J off schdeuled, and still caught up with 747L again at around 8.

The bus stop pole had the wrong bus stop description. It states Blk 896B instead of opp Blk 896B. -
boarded SMB88H on service 67 today frm geylang serai to sim lim sq...
this bus vibrated quite a bit. what the SL did was epic.
after forming up at the traffic junction, he just stood up till the lights about to change. -

Not really.PM Peak hrs all got those few army ppl waiting at the 1st stop along Lentor Ave aft Yishun Ave 2.Opp side twds Yishun also got seen a few ppl there. -

Teh nearest camps include Seletar Camp [svc 39, 85, 858 and more] and Dieppe Barracks [svc 167,169,171,980]. Lentor is such a distance away from these camps- I wonder why would they come to the Lentor bus stop to hitch a bus?

Saw TIB838H parking @ cck int today; suspension tilted so terribly to the left, as if much force & weight was applied at the left side. thought that the road was uneven there, but other buses beside it appeared to be normal (straight).
