Anyway, route 97 is now the Gamblers' Express. Pass by not 1 but 2 IRs.

Priority is elsewhere seriously1) Growing demand for bus svs as New Towns get more developed w/ Sengkang & Punggol flats TOP. Needless to mention Ind Est development.
2) Growing uni & poly intake.
3) SUTD
4) Possibly more buses pulled for cross border svs thks to IDR.
5) Marina Bay Financial District.

This new extension of Service 85 will cater to commuters going to the Sengkang Sports Complex.
However, the weekday AM peak route towards Yishun Interchange and the new route will confuse commuters.
