I still think that skilled BC will make the KUB a comfortable ride compared to a merc.. I had taken a lously bus like SBS 8203E able to travel to the max of the speed limit in some\part of the journey..
Most importantly, they need to upgrade buses going to the city..

uhhh.. SBST has a bottom line to meet. so you are willing to pay higher fares so that SBST can purchase what you perceive as "better" buses? whatever fleet decision they make there is a cost-benefit consideration behind it. so if the Scania K-series offers the best value-for-money and fits their requirements, they will buy it!

What do you expect? seriously, atrocious braking can only be caused by speeding/last minute brakes and stuff etc, other than that don't see any reason though

Scaina K230UB the brake is not really very good. Please think before you comment. I dun wish to see everyday flame here and there. Alot of SBS Transit BC is complaining about the brakes of K230UB. Dun say Euro 4, Euro 5 batch 1 also alot of BC complain. Service 240 afew BC complain no power always lambat.

Its largely about the sudden move-offs.
The other jerks are not entirely due to the brakes either, its because of the use of engine-brake.

SBST first ordered the no. of kubs needed, which means that they cannot stop halfway through. So comments are being taken. But I think they will apply those comment on the new batch of other buses.
