  5001R was on svc 241 on monday.. Both are new bus with only few months diff only.

  your logic at where you're coming from needs some rethinking. Its a very practical move for them to do that. Gain one more bus under their holding without losing a Merc.

  Doesn't seem to make any diff to me.

  Both are KUB anyway, just that the latter is newer.

  Should follow SMRT policy, put all those refurbished Nissan UDs with lifespan extension to Training Buses

  It makes a difference when there's a shortage of ezlink readers to go around. Transferring the readers from one bus to another requires more work than just commerce a new bus into training duties directly without installing them.

  I would rather see k230 do training than a merc. Especially the 5000 series, they are so much more underpowered.

  612S perm 901/587/963R

  And 525K is the only training Merz I know

  The destroyed I mean was the side got scratches etc.
